He reminds me of zabaleta in his highlights reel
Man City Zabaleta or West Ham Zabaleta?
He reminds me of zabaleta in his highlights reel
He'd be a massive upgrade on Ben Davies on the left, even though he's not left footedWatching Castagne currently : Started against Juve now, in the LWB role - has had a bright start
He crosses the ball well too. Or smartly should I say. One cross he shifted onto his right and played a quality curling cross that needed a flick on, then he got to the byline and cut one back with power trying to pick the attacker out.HT at the game...
Completely sold on Castagne just on this 45 min.
He looks so calm and good on ball. Always gets into good positions. Doesnt feel positionally tied to the wing. If required, he passes and moves infield to get the return ball. Couple of times, has shown the turn of pace.
I really hope we get him - Even though he is playing kind of wing back, way Jose is playing Aurier so far up top, Castagne would suit that perfectly. I see him not wasting many chances and also getting into scoring positions from back stick
Rock solid on the left and he’s two-footed which has really helped his unpredictability. Pushed cuadrado back all half. I still think he lacks a bit of dynamism, and in Italy it’s really tough to gauge a players athletic ability and stamina, but what we do know is he will be tactically flexible and astute, gasperini’s tactics require just that, especially in the wing backs. On a side note, papu Gomez is world class, no one can tell me different, he’s on a whole other level, so so elusive and creative, fits serie a perfectly

Compare that to Aurier and Davies who's crossing is a lot more 'hopeful'.
Him and Aarons would completely change the dynamic
I was thinking more from an attacking perspective. We need a full back who can recover quicker. Is he making those mistakes because of the system? He's also very very young. But I get your pointsI hope we dont sign Aarons - he is not a good defensive RB. He has made so many defensive mistakes - it cant be ignored.
Ajax have Tagliafico on potential sell list. It would be wonderful to have a fullback options of Tagliafico, Castagne,Davies, Tanganga
It’s almost impossible to tell with Aarons now.I was thinking more from an attacking perspective. We need a full back who can recover quicker. Is he making those mistakes because of the system? He's also very very young. But I get your points
I think we would have to go for both.He crosses the ball well too. Or smartly should I say. One cross he shifted onto his right and played a quality curling cross that needed a flick on, then he got to the byline and cut one back with power trying to pick the attacker out.

Like this link, firstly as the media links are all in our problem areas which suggests we are actively trying to fix our biggest areas of concern. Secondly because I do rate Castagne when budgets are going to be tight having an option to support us in two positions seems sensible.
However my preference would still be Aaron's even though I think the chances are slim.
That's mostly down to Norwich's open expansive play. They also have very little in terms of covering that defence..
We have been linked with three highly rated players , Aarons,Godfrey and Lewis, all part of Norwich’s back four.Ironic that Norwich leak so many goals.
He would compete for both, but is primarily a Right back, who can cover on the left.So he would replace Davies or Aurier?
Keep in mind Atalanta will have CL football next season we will not. They are a very good team, think it would be hard to raid all their players. We can go Castagne seeing as he plays in rotation there, his contract is running down and he wants to play in the PL.Overall a good game for Castagne. Shame, Juve getting 2 silly penalties their way and drawing the game.
Zapata (no9) - really looks good. Very strong & good hold up play & finished the first goal well.
Also other area of interest for us is DM. I thought Adrian Temeze came on as sub for Atalanta (on loan from Nice) and won good number of balls.
