A big surprise on Monday.

The Bale fee is more than expected.

(Unless it says somewhere that it is a player or the stadium or sponsorship)

Di Maria would be good to piss off the scum but that's a shocking reason to spend £25-30 million.

Ozil is my bet but that'd be a ridiculous coup (still not convinced writing this we could convince him). But as said before, no-one is 'excited' by a defender and I doubt Joel would be so excited over Coentrao.

tbh, i reckon it all depends on where we are intending to play eriksen.

If we want him at LW in a 4-3-3, then i think the only big player coming in would have to be a young striker, or a LB.

If we signed him to compete for a place in the midfield 3, then i can see we need a LW, preferably right footed, to balance out the front three, and be an upgrade on chadli who, although he's good, isnt "top 4" good.

I'm thinking Sanchez or Mata.

Going back to the St. Riker thing, have we all reached the conclusion that its most probably one of the following ? -

CHRISTIAN Benteke
Rodrigo ( the saint, Spain things )
Lambert ( Saints )
Jackson Martinez ( clause and something else ? )
Hulk ( SAINT Petersburg )

CB - seems like £23m would do it, basically pre soldado price
rodrgo - £25million
Lambert - dont think so
Jackson Martinez - £35m release , you think after 25 on soldado we will splash 35 for him? either its a cheaper price or its not him. base on past dealings porto will never sell unless you activate the clause
hulk - probably 40 - 50m, pass

for LWF with release clause that can play SS, we also got
muniain - £30m
griezmann - £25m
vadillo - £17m

imo jackson martinez and lambert doesnt stand a high chance, its probably one of these kids listed at around £25m.

if we have money i rather go
1.muniain
2.griezmann
3. rodrigo
4. vadillo

+ coentrao, of course.

Because, now they've sold Higuain, he's their only recognised CF?

A lot of the RM fans don't want him. Apparently he got booed in one of their recent games. On some of their forums they think Ronaldo should get a free role and Bale play out on the right. There's also Morata as well don't forget.

Last year this same guy was adamant we were being taken over by the Kharafi family.

@jzimelstern Hi Joel, Lots on twitter that investment is £200mil for naming rights / NDP only. is that your take on situation?

Joel Zimelstern ‏@jzimelstern
@HotspurSam I haven't been told anything to contradict that deal is take over - requirement to retain Levy doesn't make sense for investment

Sorry for posting year old twitter mods, just showing that this guy has previous for 'big announcement' type claims that haven't come to fruition before.

I'll be honest, I don't want Benzema. I think he is pretty average, and at times, terrible.

Hulk's a bit portly, so is Rooney.

Clearly it's El Tel coming in as an after dinner speaker.
