Big shame really, but i guess this is happening daily to a lot of footballers all over Europe. Pleased for him that he is now running his own business.

Interesting article. The article makes it seem like he has a good head on his shoulders. You'd think a player who played for England U19 and was rated by Hoddle could have had a career as a professional player. Was he over rated or did he just not find the right direction?

Talking about a remarkable fall seems a bit unfair. He gave football a good shot but like many kids fell short. He was sensible, had a alternative plan and now has his own business.

Players with no pace often seem overlooked. Maybe it takes them longer to develop their game and managers aren’t prepared to develop them as they’ll probably be sacked before they see their patience rewarded.
