If you look at Man City they play with 3 No 10s (D.Silva, KDB, B.Silva,) so that burden is shared amongst a lot of players. I'm not sure why we don't have more creative players
Its about quality. Liverpool don't have what you'd call creative players bar Flaminho they have quality delivery from both the wingbacks.
In our case we need better wingbacks and really need to look at how Liverpool moved to the next level.

So you've removed our most creative player and won't count anyone that isn't a creative number 10. I think your criteria might be the issue, rather than the actual midfield.
My point was not about creative players it was about creative no 10s so yes my criteria is going to be restrictive.
I made the observation that City play with 3 or 4 no 10s in their team

I agree that their wingbacks are good but actually it's the midfield that flood the penalty area when they attack that gives them lots to aim for.
But yes, it can be done without the no10

I suspect that our squad is no where near as bad as we think it is and Liverpool have gone to the 'next level' through consistently good coaching, and a game plan.

Obviously there's always room to improve your squad, but I would say that in terms of raw talent, the vast majority of our players would feature in the squads of any other PL sides.

Certainly, we might need more quality to actually win the PL, but we should really be finishing 3rd on a consistent basis; this season has been completely unacceptable in that regard.

Having an intelligent, knowledgeable, evolving and enthusiastic coach/manager goes a bloody long way to having a winning squad.

Look around Europe this season:

Bayern Munich - inexperienced Kovac. They were smashed 5-1 yesterday and are 4th in the league. This is a Bayern squad whom normally walk the league. There’s multiple calls for Kovac to be sacked.

Barcelona - stubborn and tinkering Valverde. Barca lost 3-1 to Levante yesterday, making it 3 defeats this season. Yes they’re joint top still but they’ve been poor by their normal standards. One of Barca’s best players in Rakitic has been completely frozen out this season.

Real Madrid - zero shits or tactics Zidane in charge. Already lost a couple this season and playing drab football. They spent a shed load of money but Hazard, Jovic and their new CB are in and out of the team whereas Bale has been frozen out again. Real are supposed to be the Harlem Globe Trotters, not anymore.

Man Utd - schoolboy Solskjaer in charge. Richest club in the world and yet they’re bloody awful. They still have some decent players yet OGS constant tinkering and being out of his depth has them playing well below their expected standard.

Spurs - once a fun, happy and great motivator in Poch, now a grumpy, stubborn, no plan B Poch. We’ve predominantly the same squad whom have consistently finished in the top 4 and strengthened in the summer. Yes we’ve cracks in our squad but we’re performing nowhere near where we should be. Yes some players want out but Poch has to take the majority of the blame for our fall from grace with his horrendous tactics and team selections, and refusal to drop the players whom both want out and don’t give a shit on the pitch. In his recent interview he said we’ve been unlucky away from home this season... we’ve been awful and he still refuses to either accept or notice that our performances have been utterly diabolical.

Lose today and we’re well and truly fucked. 8 points to top 4 is bad enough, 11 is bordering on impossible. Keep Poch and top 4 is over.

I prefer the look of that keeper I think dxspurs brought up Mike Maignan, looked in the clips like he was in the style of the modern goalkeeper.

Maignan and Camavinga would be 2 excellent signings from the French league imo.

The scouting team need to draw up the top 10 left backs and top 10 right backs and work down the list until one of them want to join

Better yet, let’s have Leicester or Liverpool’s scouts draw up the top 10 fullbacks and then buy that list from them.

Last time our scouts did the list we ended up with Aurier.

Camavinga would be a huge gamble but if we don't get him soon we will miss our opportunity.
Maignan would be an excellent signing or if we are looking for a younger GK then Lafont would be a good option.
Grimaldo would be ideal at left back.
Dest or Ferguson if we want a young RB or Atal if we want more established.
Eze looks raw but worth a risk and would offer us something different. Could offer Amos on a permanent and Clarke on loan as a sweetener.
Badiashile or Ake at LCB again depending on what profile we are looking at.
Finally promote Parrott and Tanganga full time and we have an exciting young squad again.

Loan out Skipp, Roles and Clarke.

All gettable imo and 5 new players doesn't seem too outrageous over 2 windows, especially as we are likely to lose Eriksen, Jan, Toby, Rose, Aurier and Wanyama in the summer.
