Crazy finale and I have to say, undeserved.
France, albeit i am not impartial, are not back to being France. They are surpassing it as thr mentality is so much stronger and less, how shall I put it, 'spursy'of old.If there was a World Cup next year it would be fascinating.
All Blacks as on the rocks as they will ever be. Argentina the coming force. England both rubbish and apparently great. France getting back to being France again. Wales likely to lose to someone hilarious.
I say we have an interim World Cup.
Steve Thompson: I can't remember World Cup final win with England in 2003

England World Cup winner Steve Thompson says he can't remember playing in the 2003 final - something he believes is a result of brain damage he sustained playing rugby.
The ex-hooker is one of eight former rugby union players taking legal action against the game's authorities after being diagnosed with brain damage, which they claim is a result of their playing career.
Thompson is one of three players named, the others being Alix Popham and Michael Lipman, who will each file claims against World Rugby as well as the RFU or Welsh RU, depending upon where they played their rugby.
The legal firm representing the players, who have already spoken to more than 100 former players, believe the claims could eventually be on the same scale as the class action that the NFL faced from former players in 2012.
For Thompson, the severity of the consequences of playing rugby hit home when he was watching repeats of the World Cup 17 years ago and could not remember being on the field.
Not sure what to make of this. I'm pretty certain if Thompson had been told of the potential consequences at the time, like a lot of young people he'd have said 'Fuck it, I'll only ever get this chance once'. David Luis chose to play on last week after a serious head impact and most likely with full knowledge of the possible implications.
Back then people didn't know the risk of what he has. He accepted being battered/bruised/broken boned which could all heal to a certain extent.
That is a really tough read honestly. Lots of rugby players must have this but just keep quiet out of pride/shame. It's a ticking time bomb.
Planning on going to this in a VW Camper or something similar
Covid-23 permitting!
