It’s gonna be a huge conflict of interest with Levy flying all of our potential signings for medicals and tours of the stadium whilst using EasyJet

Okay, since no one else will bite, why?

They lost my families suitcases (and 3/4rs of the planes) the last precovid holiday we went on in the summer of 2019 when the baggage handling went down at Heathrow. They were too worried about getting flights away rather than delaying flights a couple of hours to sort the bags out. We had no belongings until the last 3 days of a ten day holiday and they were so unhelpful it was unbelievable. A complete clusterfuck and I’m never flying with them again unless I have to.

I think it makes more sense for BA to sponsor the NFL games than the premiership games.
The posters and adverts in the US, with the union jack and jets. Stewardesses and quarter backs. All in packages.
That works well. The NFL would get most of the money and rightly so.

Could BA afford that? Probably not, but none of these airline sponsors pay for it themselves. Their governments pay for them. Boris sees the US as our future no1 partner. So pay-up!

I’m on a boycott of BA so I hope (and expect) it isn’t true.

I see you....

Whether this rumour is true or not is one thing, but it is plausible.

Despite losses, if British Airways want to continue to trade then they'll need to continue their spending on business as usual activities, and this will include marketing.

In 2014/15, a good 6 years ago, they spent £134.5m on advertising/marketing. So £170m to £200m p/a is probably the going spend rate on marketing in 2021/22, of which £25m on a high-profile, highly exposed, brand (Tottenham) in a multi-event venue is realistic.

At the end of the day, international air travel is going to come back in the next 12 months.

The airline industry is notoriously cut-throat; it's one of the most competitive markets in the world. You can believe that every company in this area will be champing at the bit, ready to fly out of the blocks when customers start booking their holidays again.

There's just too much money to make and the companies that don't manage the restart will go under.

Finally, having worked in web-marketing a few years back, there's an obvious correlation between spending money on marketing and increased revenue. Unless your marketing campaign is a complete car-crash, you'll almost always see an increase in revenue from your marketing outlay. It's one of the reasons big companies stay...well, big! They've got much a massive advantage in the area of marketing, smaller companies find it very difficult to compete.

Anyway, like I said, who knows if this deal will happen. But BA is still going to be spending hundreds of millions on marketing either way, Corona-virus or no Corona-virus.

Thing about that is, historically, Virgin Atlantic have had the charter contract (along with their partner Delta) to carry the NFL teams back and forth for the UK based games.
I'm not sure with the current climate if that will remain the case, but there was definitely an element of advertising involved in all of this (within the business).

Melitta has emerged as a potential suitor to become the naming-rights sponsor of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The multi billion pound company is current a partner of Manchester United’s.

Tier 2?[The Wolf]

Has this made its way here yet?

My initial thoughts were, a company that makes coffee makers? Really?

Then I had a look at the money they make/turnover. Could be something to it.

See, being associated with us has already made people more aware of who they are, be foolish not to give us 25 mill a year

Also potentially looking to grow in the UK (I'd never heard of them prior to this conversation).
