Poch should issue a media ban to all the players, no more interviews. Its embarassing to hear Winks and Kane after a victory bigging themselves up as the best team in the world.
Agree. And he's proven in the league. Allegri is not. Afraid he might be another de Boer.I only want Poch to go if we get Mourinho. I would consider all other gettable managers a step down/risk
Don't think anyone wants poch gone but I can't see where he is going to turn it around from with the team now conceding nearly two goals a game along with strange decisions and his own general mood seems to have changed as well.Come off it mate. Sess is a kid and has never played for spurs before. Foyth is a hugely inexperienced kid who makes loads of mistakes when he does play and is hardly an important player and GLC has played about 45 minutes for spurs. You can’t use them being missing as an excuse for Poch nor can you call them main players.
We have our main guns out there fit but they aren’t delivering. What has happened to the whole squad? Everyone has regressed. Performances have been largely poor since beginning of last season. Results for some reason kept coming in for us though despite playing poorly for the remainder of 2018 but that luck soon ran out and since 2019 came round our results have also gone south.
At the end of the day injuries are not an excuse what we are seeing out on the pitch.
I agree with you the next three games are crucial. Poch needs to turn this around quickly. It looks like he has lost the plot and the players, there’s something wrong. Everything I am seeing on the pitch indicates a change of manager needed sooner or later
I think it's the third best yeah, looking ahead we know we're going to need a new back 4, because our 2 centre backs look like they want to get the fuck out, Vertonghen who just days before the season was saying how much he loved it here but has now been subjected to Poch's ingenious man management. Our left back who he tried to force out but now is starting every game for some bizarre reason.Do you really think this squad is good enough? I certainly dont. We need a new back 4, and a new midfield. Toby/Jan are very much past it. Sissoko and Winks is not a good enough CM 2. Rose is past it. We need an RB. That long, hard rebuild Poch was talking about before this summer was DESPERATELY needed. It will be a miracle to get top 4 out of this season. Our spine just isnt good enough.
Have you got a source to confirm that he's gone?I think it's the third best yeah, looking ahead we know we're going to need a new back 4, because our 2 centre backs look like they want to get the fuck out, Vertonghen who just days before the season was saying how much he loved it here but has now been subjected to Poch's ingenious man management. Don't tell me that's because no one else was fit, because if so what was his masterplan if Rose had agreed to go to Watford?
That midfield 2 won't be our first choice, but one of his new signings us slugging it round the pitch completely gassed after 30 mins, despite a full "Poch" pre-season, and the other is crocked, but that doesn't really matter as we'd be being told he's not up to our elite physical standards until Easter 2021 anyway so not actually missing out on anything...
Honestly, just as it looked like we night have turned a corner with the Palace game, he can't help himself but come out with some bullshit in the press to deflect away from his own shortcomings.
Yes, the squad is good enough to be competing at the top, it's just being horrendously mismanaged right now. I don't know why but he's completely lost the plot, it's a shame but stop clinging on to the guy that gave us a couple of years of attractive and effective football, he's gone.
I am still a huge Poch fan! But there is something not right. But to balance that out with a little perspective: Foyth, Sess, GLC are three now main players missed with long term injuries. Dele still coming back to fitness. Right now I would play a fully fit Sess ahead of Rose, GLC instead of CE, and CE in the main has been shot, so rather risk GLC bedding in from the get-go. And Foyth RB.
I see the next 3 PL games as super critical, and need to pick up 9 points. Poch has to forgo his blind loyalty to VW for starters. A little patience.
Tbf if I was playing for a team and our manager dropped a player who scored a hatrick in the semifinals of the biggest competition in the world I would maybe doubt his outlook.
You think he's anything like the guy he was 2 seasons ago?Have you got a source to confirm that he's gone?
But he's dead good at looking like he's gonna start a fight any second.Absolutely this. Rose has been appalling. Offers nothing either end of the pitch.
I'm not defending how we're playing or the inconsistency but do you think that Levy is about to sack him?You think he's anything like the guy he was 2 seasons ago?
Poch has always built the team around a solid middle, Dembele and Dier/Wanyama. Looks like Ndombele will replace Dembele given time, but it’s the other more defensive player that is currently missing. Strange as both players are still at the club but either injuries or poor form are stopping them from being selected.
It’s the one position I was disappointed we didn’t add to in the summer
Absolutely this. Rose has been appalling. Offers nothing either end of the pitch.
I am rarely so dismissive of any player. Perhaps appalling is over the top, but he isn't far off at the moment.I think that's a bit over the top.
To be quite honest, none of the players in our squad are that bad; they're all decent enough PL footballers and the majority of them would get into the first XIs of most of the other teams in the league.
The issue we have is that we want to compete at the very highest level now, so we need that next level of player...or decent enough players, but coached into a rich vein of form, told to do a specific job that they then go and do well.
But to say that the likes of Rose is appalling and offers nothing is ridiculous.

This has gone missing somewhat in this squad.Don't get me wrong, I think we could definitely upgrade both full back positions AND Rose has dipped in form compared to a couple of seasons ago.
I just think he's a solid enough PL left back now, when you compare him to other left backs in the league.
The reason I replied to your post is because I've been thinking about talent levels in players and fans' expectations, for a while now. I was half considering to start a separate thread on it to get some discussion going.
Basically, I think what makes a player is raw talent, form and the "specific job" that he's asked to do.
On that last area, what I mean here is that sometimes players are asked to do a specific job for the team, which could be fairly limited, but they do it really well. It's why sometimes you get fairly average players in really good sides, who don't look out of place; they've got one job to do and they just get on and do it, without much fuss.
Anyway, I'm rambling now......but it is an interesting discussion topic, because it's at the heart of coaching and team building.
