I'm gonna go by his achievements so far and guesstimate none, in this hypothetical fantasy scenario which has absolutely no bearing on whether Poch is the right man to turn round the terrible run of performances that have been served up from our very capable group of players since the 2-1 win away at Newcastle last season.winner. Remember what Graham Roberts said about Barkely for eg - Poch wanted him 100%....ends up at Chelsea.
Response from the BSofL is that we got Moura....well Chelsea bloomin well turned around and spent 60 million on Pulisic and turned down 40 million for CHA and signed him to a massive 5 year deal while he was injured!
Someone earlier said, would Mou have won the league with these players.
The real question is how many Poch would have won with backing.
I don't see us qualifying for the CL so I feel relaxed in that sense. How is Poch going to turn it around if a lot of the players don't want to play for him?
That's what I don't get. So if Poch stays and we begin a big clear out, it could take a long time to sort out, more than one season.
With the importantce of CL qualification I think Levy has a serious dilemma on his hands.
One thing is for sure, we're heading for mid table this season, or worse if things carry on as they are.
I've have never seen such a dreadful performance than today.
And off the back of Tuesday it's just completely unacceptable. Any team reacts after a humiliation, they don't go and add another one to top the week off ffs.
Actually so pissed off, had faith there would be a big reaction today.
That faith has completely gone.

It's why I'm unwilling to give him that chance. How is Poch going to turn it around if a lot of the players don't want to play for him?

The players looked lost, confused and devoid of all confidence out there. Going back through @Trix posts it's clear there's been a lot of kick back from the players over this, and is refusing to listen.
I'll always love and respect Poch for what he's done for us, and I have no doubts he's been dealt a tough hand at times, but he's been central to this massive decline in 2019, both with his comments and general demeanour, and some very poor tactical choices.
“If your own fans didn’t want you, there is no point to carry on working because you are going to damage first of all your company, your club,” said Pochettino.
“They are important, the fans, and at some point, you need to go away because the club is always more important than any person. And if I am the point that creates problems between all levels of the club, I prefer to go away.”
Could not agree more on this!not just picking on this post but haven’t we beat Everton, Cardiff and Fulham away from home since mid-December so that’s at least 9pts add away wins against Dortmund and Ajax?
There have been away defeats but I’d only put today’s down as totally unacceptable.
Burnley Away - Mike Deaned
Southampton - Rose brain fart (maybe this is what Poch started to see about his squad and painful rebuild)
Liverpool - last minute Lloris f*** up
Chelsea - trippier disaster
City - we actually played well few days after CL game
Bournemouth - ended up with 9 men...should have had pen and chance to equalise
Leicester this season - var
This is not to let Poch off the hook completely, but the players need to share the blame also. The Chpions league final was there for Eriksen to step- up and grab the game by the scruff of its neck. He didn’t. He’s no elite player. The other wantaways might be sniping to their agents that they can’t play the way Poch wants them too, but isn’t this what Poch knows himself. Physically these players are shot and they are not realistically moving upwards they are heading towards an easier European league such as Holland, France or Belgium - hardly moving to a top club?
What does Poch do? Drop them completely? He should and its what I’d do, but then he’ll have 5/6 players sniping from the u23 squad and constant bad press.
Levy should back Poch, tell him he has his backing to sideline the bad eggs, get the new signings fully integrated, recharge Dier, Alli & Sanchez and get back to his philosophy of hard work and the press. We might lose more games, but long term we’d be better for it
The only sliver of hope is that the team was completely and utterly deflated by what happened to Lloris in the opening minutes of the match. Obviously Poch has a strong interest in deflecting blame and finding excuses anywhere he can at the moment, but that was what he put his finger on in his press conference. It's not entirely outside the realm of possibility that the players might have been affected by witnessing their beloved captain and teammate suffer what looked like could have been a career-threatening injury, and having simultaneously gone down a goal in the fourth minute compounding the ill feelings left over from the Bayern match. How is Poch going to turn it around if a lot of the players don't want to play for him?

If he doesn’t start Lucas after the international break when he’s the only attacker along with Dele not away on International duty he should be sacked on the spot !

I don't know if I buy that excuse and I wouldn't be shocked to see Poch go now. If he does stay, however, I think he's got to drop the players whose heart isn't in it and build the team around the likes of Son, Kane, Lamela, Lucas, Dier, Winks, Sissoko, Sanchez/Foyth, Davies, and the new signings. Those listed have enough pride and love for the club that I think they'd play for him, and are talented enough to keep us within touching distance of fourth until January if they do turn up and play.
I'm still holding out the slightest bit of hope because the first five minutes of the match today were gutting and were not at all a normal occurrence, but at the same time I wouldn't blame Levy if he pulled the trigger.
