This Conte talk is either Levy panicking, because United will soon fire Ole and try to hire Conte, or Conte forcing his hand so he can be hired by United. Hopefully it’s the former one ??

levy is certainly panicking but not about Utd employing Conte

The panic will be at the vitriol aimed at him on saturday night in the stadium

I think a poster (sorry can't remember who said it) nailed it last night.

It's Paratici leaking it to put pressure on Levy. His reputation is now in danger so another cheap appointment will be the last thing he wants.

Now the world knows Conte would come if were serious .

That's why the leaks are all in the Italian press

We won't get Conte but I do think we need someone with a Conte style temperament.. Potter would just be like throwing a lamb to lions. These assholes (players) have got 3 managers sacked with their poor effort and attitudes..

Sorry, don’t want to piss on your chips, but that team doesn’t look good enough even with a much better manager.
You think?

I really like the look of the back three and think the wing backs will benefit from playing higher up the pitch.

The midfield trio is a weakness and against weaker opposition you could drop holjberg or skipp to play both n'dombele and lo celso . The front two speak for themselves.

It looks defensive but actually If the wing backs are high up that's 5 in attacking areas plus one of anchor midfielders.

In Jan another cm and a striker is a must though.

I'll believe it when I see it, but the ball is in Conte's court. After seeing the car crash of Nuno, he can demand what he wants and if Levy is desperate he may actually agree to it (whether he follows through is another matter).

If there’s one thing that I’ve leaned about Daniel Levy over the last six months is that he is sometimes vey easily led. More than that, he is prone to panic after a little public pressure is applied.

1) European Super League - was Levy pressured to go in, who knows, he certainly folded quickly.
2) We had the #NoToGattusso thing - 24 hours of social media pressure…….caved.
3) Nuno - we’ve heard he disliked him several times, yet still appointed him.
4) We’ve had ITK that ‘he only listens to the last person he’s talked to’.
5) Saturday - the fans get on his, Kane and Nuno’s back and he’s apparently ‘shocked’…..caves.

We know that he can be incredibly stubborn behind closed doors, but interestingly, when faced with direct public pressure he seems to fold quicker than a busted flush. I never expected that to be the case.

On a positive note, if used wisely, I believe fans have more say over how this club is run than we may think.

I could be a mile off, but have found it interesting to observe.

They’re not comparable sadly. Lo Celso has never put together any sort of run of form in over two years now. Ndombele far from matching his price tag but has shown plenty to say there’s a heck of a player in there. In an Argentina shirt, GLC is great
I think this is just wrong. GLC had a spell where he was consistently among our best players, then got interrupted by injury. I’m not sure Ndombele has had more than a couple of good games in a Row.

If the Italian press have it then it likely means the leaks are coming from Conte. I know it seems like Paratici does send tidbits their way, but it would make no sense whilst we still have a coach to do that.

Also leads me to believe that like others have said, we are again being used to further Conte's push for the UTD job.

Why isn't Poch on that list? He'll definitely be one of the shorter odds I reckon. I'd have him back; at least you'd know that if he did return it'd be totally on his terms, whereas a 'new' face might not have the cajones to stand up to Levy...
he was kicked out unceremoniously (wasnt even allowed to say goodbye to the players or fans despite all the highs we achieved together).
Why on earth do people he would come back and work under Levy again?
Utterly bemused why his return keeps getting brought up.

What if Paratici is pushing these Conte leaks to get himself back in favour with the fans after Nuno? It's not impossible.

If that syrup wearing fuck is using us again to smoke out a better target I hope we're using his name with a target to say we're not pursuing him because you're our number 1. Make them feel really really wanted.

Quite frankly I can't see either of us going for Conte. He is way too demanding for the hierarchy at both clubs. ManU will probably go for Rogers or maybe even someone like Zidane. We will go for the local primary school teacher in charge of PE

I somehow doubt Paratici will get played by Conte with him doing it to entice United. They know each other really well. It’s a bit far fetched. United still have a manager, and if they didn’t sack him after the Liverpool game then I somehow think he will see out the season now.

The main difference is the players still largely seem to be playing for Ole, the issue there is just Ole isn’t good enough so structurally they are all over the place and lose games. Furthermore, I have a feeling United don’t actually want Conte and maybe fancy someone like Poch instead so are waiting.

If United really wanted Conte surely they would have already sacked OGS. It makes no sense why they haven’t already moved for him.

So, Graham Potter then ? ;) I watched this sh1t shower unfold last night on the sky sports news feed loop around and around and it pains me to see us dragging ourselves through the mud again, NES is now even more undermined than he was previously. If he gets "two more games" while Levy cranks open his filofax what happens if he wins them both ?
