There has been some ITK about Ledley finally having to admit he has no knees left and is to announce his retirement.

He has been a fantastic servant to the club and I hope he stays on in some capacity be it coaching, ambassador, etc.

Anybody have any favourite memories of him playing in a spurs shirt or his best games, I remeber this tackle on Robben

He was immense.

Ledley thank you for everything, you are and always will be a Spurs Legend

Ledley King is an all time great but I refuse to believe ITK until it's on the OS.
True he had a bad season last year but he is to an extent a freak of nature so I wouldn't rule out a come back.

A brilliant player and servant of the club and a very sad day for both.

Thanks Ledley and good luck. Hopefully you'll be with the club for many a long day yet.

It makes me sick when people think he is overrated by spurs fans, if he played in a world class team he would be considered a true great

Best defender in the world when fit... Fact! Amazing individual and role model! Helped Dawson become what he is today and kaboul. Going to miss him a lot, but I am sure he will be the latest mabbutt! And we will chant his song every game

Ledley King.

Ledders.

Mr Tottenham.

Dedley.

The King of White Hart Lane.

I salute you.

You can stick Sol Campbell up your arse.

He's only got one Knee, he's better than John Terry.

Lifting the Carling cup.

Qualifying for the Champion's League.

Captaining the club and getting the captaincy back after almost having his career finished.

Tackling Robben when no one else could.

Scoring a Premiership goal in the time it takes Dwain Chambers to finish a 100 metres race (probably whilst on steroids).

Lauded by Henry as the best defender in the Premiership.

Cruyff-turning centre-forwards.

Playing for Tottenham Hotspur in 3 different decades.

It has been a roller-coaster. From losing 3-4 at home to Manchester City's 10 men and finishing 9-12th, now threatening 3rd and considered a team that plays very good football, from a scintillating tackle on Arjen Robben at the Lane and shackling Henry and Zidane to struggling with Grant Holt only one thing has been constant at Tottenham since 1998. Ledley King.

He has out-lived Christian Gross, George Graham, Glenn Hoddle, David Pleat, Jacques Santini, Martin Jol, Juande Ramos, Clive Allen (x2 or x3?) and Harry Redknapp.

Here's hoping you can continue as long as is possible. Can't praise the guy enough.

It's weird to imagine a Tottenham without Ledley King, end of an era.

If true then a sad day but doesn't come as a major surprise. I would think he will be kept on somehow by the club as he bleeds blue and white and has been magnificent for us when fit, he also has a great mind for the game do I would be very confident of his coaching skills in the future

I think the term legend is banded about too easily nowadays but for Leds it fits. He could have walked out on the club during the hard times but didn't, a proper Spurs player, loyal to the end.

I hope the club repay that loyalty by looking after him and setting him up with a coaches job (y)
