Chelsea pulling a Willian on Utd with Pedro may have ramifications on the Berahino deal, but I'd expect (hope!) Utd to be aiming higher for their forward target. Good to see JJ still confident anyway.

As for the could happen sooner, could be numerous things:-

Outgoings - especially unwanted Ade
Other teams officially pulling out
WBA wanting cash early to make more moves
Fazio deal progressing
Berahino going on strike
Levy wins Euromillions

Can see Berahino handing in a transfer request. He's got 2 years left on a 15k a week contract. It won't be a big financial hit. Especially if he gets 45k at spurs.

Cabbages………."Two cabbages, one smaller than the other but from the same grocery"

Cabbage = Green for Ireland and Green for Mexico, smaller was 'little pea' same grocery was United.

As revealed previously, the first cabbage was Evans

The second Cabbage was……….Hernandez

I'd like to thank @Rob for putting us all through this lengthy agony

LOL - that sounds so obvious now!

Glad it's over. Thanks JJ and A&C for revealing it.

I'm still believing it was Kramer and Son. That was too good for it not to be right. It would have been an amazing cryptic and the answers fitted too well.

Hmm... mingewrangler could be an A&C word for womens jeans that are too tight at the front, i.e.'cameltoe jeans', which is an anagram of 'Jean comes late'. So could it be that our fallback DM to sign on the last day of the transfer window is Jean, currently at Fluminese?

I knew it was that when I got the winner rating from @Rob all those weeks ago.

Bullet dodged with Evans, would have been a joke signing indeed.

Glad the cabbages ordeal has passed. Shame we couldn't have shifted Ade, as I could have seen Levy trying a deadline loan deal on Hernandez if he'd gone, even if Berahino signed.

Well that is one crptic I am glad never happened. Evans is laughable and would make Chiriches look like a master of concentration.

No offence Pinky, but you are just assuming the cabbage was Hernandez, as it's not been confirmed, and stating it as fact just winds me up as others jump on your post and continue to spread it as fact.

The only way round it would be
Ah fuck. Sorry Pinky.

My understanding is that all WBA contracts are heavily weighted with bonuses based on points totals and final league position and also have relegation clauses so he may consider the financial hit even less. If you think Levy watches the pennies, Peace could give him lessons. WBAs debt levels over the nine or ten seasons prior to last season were miniscule but they've spent more on player purchases recently. I suspect they need to sell to balance the books.

I'm so glad that never worked out. Hernandez is the most overrated player in the PL
I'm more relieved that Evans didn't work out. Now he really IS a cabbage. We just got rid of one to Sunderland, don't need another.

So which one wouldn't have been the joke signing in Rob's eyes?
