Skriniar has already played this season. He will not sit on the bench if her remains. Under contract until 2023, so there is no push from the contract side. His valuation will remain as it is. Ultimately, the question is, do they prefer him gone? And second, what effect will it have having a player who would prefer to be elsewhere remain with the team? Modric was about 80% when he wanted to go to Chelsea. Eriksen last year was perhaps 60-70%.If ITK is correct, I honestly won’t be too upset if Skriniar doesn’t happen. I imagine Inter will be, though. We’ve certainly got enough quality at CB to survive until January.
Alasdair Gold has said we’ll likely return for Skriniar in January if nothing happens now. Conte is a stubborn bastard and it’s quite clear he did not want Skriniar in his squad. From a negotiating POV it really doesn’t help Inter’s hand if they’ve got a player they value at £45m sitting on the bench for half a season. Spurs could quite easily return with this bid of £32m + a/o’s and say it’s clear he isn’t wanted and his value can only have decreased given his lack of playing time.
Still a chance then Re Skriniar ,I’ll take itFinal day tomorrow and I'm not expecting much to happen unless Skrinier can be done. That said there are an awful lot of players being offered all over the place.
I expect tomorrow to be the busiest deadline day ever with most of the deals being loans I'm so glad we've got nearly all our business done because tomorrow would be a nightmare to get multiple loans over the line on favourable terms. They are generally a lot harder to negotiate than outright sales because there are more variables.
We are extremely happy with where we are but obviously would still like a CB. That said we are not in a position of desperation, so only one that fits exactly what Jose wants will do.
Expect nothing but you never know with how things are in the game financially.
God love you Trix. Everybody else is busy getting shit-faced after us hitting six at Old Trafford and you're still posting ITK!Final day tomorrow and I'm not expecting much to happen unless Skrinier can be done. That said there are an awful lot of players being offered all over the place.

11pmWhat time does it close tomorrow?
Think in the past we've had 5pm 11pm and midnight ??
Amazing to be in a TW where there isn’t the usual gnashing of teeth and frustration as we leave all our business for the last day and inevitably come up short
Amazing to be in one where we can't point to even one single area of our squad and say there's an obvious weakness there. How strange to have a relaxing deadline day for the right reasons. If Skriniar joins, great. If not, today has highlighted that there's no single outstanding team in the PL this season. Everyone's vulnerable, the usual rules and expectations are out the window, and we've got a balanced squad that neither the club nor the fans has any particular concerns about.
