I think what you say is one of two scenarios:We wont sign 3 or 4 in this time. Most likely to be 1 or 2. I wouldn't mind being wrong on that. I think 2 high quality players will be enough though. Only really need a 3rd if Wimmer is sold.
I can see us signing a right wing back which basically kills 2 birds with 1 stone on that side. The other being attacking midfield (most likely Barkley).
He should, for everybody's sake. He is wasting his career and taking up a slot in the squad for no purpose.I don't think Wimmer will leave
Nice sensible read- I'd be happy with thatExpect the RB now to be Toljan, based on relative fee compared to Pereira. However, this ITK leads me to suspect the excess will be reallocated to a pacey WF.
Toljan - just as capable at LB as RB, so doesn't fully block Walker-Peters, and allows Davies to cover LCB in a back 3 without weakening our depth at LB.
Barkley - Koeman clearly stated today that Barkley will definitely be sold this window.
Keita Balde - assuming that's the much talked about Italian based player, offers pace out wide but also a CF option.
Barkley is definitely leaving, plus Toljan and Keira's club seem open to selling, so these deals could get over the line fairly quickly I'd imagine.
I would agree that technically Pereira could be seen as WB and RW option in one, but alternatively having a RW/CF option gives us added options up top instead.
Wouldn't be a bad window that.
Outside of that, I'd expected a GK, and also a CB even without Wimmer potentially leaving, a young option. Foyth in the media sounds as though he's holding out for us, but Benkovic wouldn't be a bad shout, plays either side of CB.

I think scenario one is most likely. However I refer only to senior players who will come into the first team. I still think we could sign a couple of players for the U23s as well. So possibly Foyth and Toljan for example who would go into the development squad at least for now.I think what you say is one of two scenarios:
We buy a quality RB/RWB who'll challenge Trippier from the off and Barkley
Or
A back up RB (at a fraction of the cost), Barkley and a competitive AM/WF
I can't see our finances stretching to three 20 plus million pound players but I could, of course, be talking total monkeykaka
So he'll be 25 this year and whilst I agree that in pure quality maybe it is hard to think about somebody vastly better and happy to be 4th/5th choice, but I can think of younger players who are at about the same level of quality.Agree he's wasting his career but would be more than happy if he stayed. There aren't many better 4th choice centre backs around. However, for his own sake he should leave.
It seems like from Ali ITK were waiting till the madness of the so called big clubs ends and once they have there silly money players in we will start making more moves, which i can agree on in a way as it really is the most silliest transfer money window ever. its positve t hear we will be looking at some additions, barkley now seems a little bit more of a step closer with koemans comments.
Why would the much talked about Italian be Keita Balde?
Lazio is not from northern Italy, and he's a troublemaker.
