So one ascent to Sestriere to go. TGH v Hindley. Kelderman is 1.20 down and looking out.

Hindley sitting on Dennis/TGH. Tough call but Hindley looks cooler ATM.

Well what a ride from Tao. Genuinely thought he looked a little cooked coming into the last ascent. Dennis is a monster too!

Not sure who has the advantage tomorrow. Hindley goes off last, but TGH wears his own skin suit. It could be that close! I'm on TGH though, all things being equal , I think he has slightly the better TT.

What an unbelievable giro this has been, can’t wait for it all to be decided tomorrow and hopefully a Tao win on my birthday!

Yeah, I've loved it. Biggest surprise for me isnt Tao, who we know was pretty useful in the mountains, but that Rohan Dennis can climb. Like *really* climb.

yeah of course, he just kept coming back ahah, who knows, he could even change his game to be a GC challenger in the future

Would be interesting to see how he does in that situation but with Roglic, Van Aert, Pogacar and Bernal in the group, rather than TGH and Hindley.

Wiggins went from pure TT to GC, so it is possible. Ineos might be revising their planning next year!

Missed this somehow: Richie Porte is back with Ineos (was Sky).

also signed daniel martinez and de plus among others to add to their already absurdly long list of leaders and domstiques, going to be terrifying for other teams if they manage the riders well and balance it out across all the grand tours

That's a good signing. They need to do a better job with team balance this year in the GTs. Last year was a bit all over the place, but I get the impression their victories were more by good fortune and daring than design.

Still want to see a strong classics performance this year, but feel I'll be disappointed again! (Assuming it all goes ahead as planned)

Absolutely, will be very exciting to see how they attack the tour with no stand-out leader as after all that has always been their pride and joy. Classics wise i think that they don't have too many options especially considering kwaito's best classics days look to be passed him

Yeh, and especially with the emergence of a new cohort of really strong, young Dutch/Belgians. I see a bit of a new golden age in the classics for them, though I am excited for Tom Pidcock. I think he's 18 months or so behind Van Aert and Van der Poel but he looks a really good prospect.
