That’s part the problem, he isn’t. There are gaps wherever Sissoko is meant to be, he is always wrong side to receive a pass and unless someone is one on one with him he is almost never in place to win the ball. His involvement for a central midfielder is shockingly low.Often found running around like a lunatic covering most areas of the pitch,
Much easier to make the error that leads to the goal the further back you are on the pitch.I'm not aware of any stand-out Dier-like errors leading to games lost/goals conceded, either.
He’s not the cause of all our problems, and nobody expects him to do things he can’t like thread a pass or hit a great strike, but we all expect midfielder to take responsibility for running the match and he does this less than every player he’s competing with at the club, even Winks.and it's another to make him the poster-boy of problems like plenty do.
Left this one till last as you’ve led with knowing that it’s not the same... but really the two things are on a different stratosphere. Sissoko scored against Brentford to get us into the final of the least prestigious competition we were in this season, Lucas in less than a half of football brought us from oblivion with a hatrick, capped off with the last kick of the game, to drag us into the biggest match on the planet and in our history to date.I know it's not the same by any stretch, but there's an irony in that Moura, an attacker, (who has only really ever had inconsistent patches of form) is a legend for scoring a hat-trick in a semi final (based on mostly that alone) and all else is forgiven, but Sissoko, not an attacker, is vilified and subject to years of constant criticism despite scoring a crucial goal this season in a semi final. And a good one at that.
FYPAnyone who voted to get rid of Kane should bepermabannedlobotomised.

It's one thing to say "he's not good enough" and it's another to make him the poster-boy of problems like plenty do. Seemingly a nice guy, as well, and not a moments bother in the team.
losing laporte, and just standing like a div in the final?
He didn't though - Laporte jumped earlier and simply won the header. Not-winning-an-aerial-challenge isn't an error.
It's a bigger problem that anyone beyond Lloris/Dier/Alderweireld pitch put in a performance.
If he'd fouled Laporte and gifted them a winning penalty, yes.
he BARELY jumped, and was outjumped because he lost him.
You could easily look at Reguillion doing his impression of Ross in that episode of Friends where he plays rugby and they ask him to join the scrum.
I think people go out of their way to chastise Sissoko for things they don't bat an eyelid at with other players.
Yeah, Sissoko is so shit that he keeps being picked by that poor French team that has such a small pool of players to choose from.
93.8% for sissoko doesnt surprise me in the slightest, no commitment whatsover, thing that does make me wonder, in the amazon doc we heard he has a lot of pull/respect in the dressing room? maybe if we shift him the mood/commitment of the squad will improve? i mean theres deffo 5/6 others that need to go asap too, but sissoko for me is the ABSOLUTE must before anyone else, including dier!
Sanchez
Winks
Dele
Sissoko
Lamela
Rose
I think that's at least realistic. I wouldn't buy Vinicius for the money being talked about but I have had no problem with having him on loan this season.
I'd consider letting any of the full-backs go if the offer was good enough but I'd like to hold on to the Serge's.
New CB.
New CM.
Some kind of new forward - but who knows what's possible with Kane here. I think Vinicius on loan was as good as we could possibly get as a back-up.
Bring back Skipp, Sess and Foyth.
But why get ride of Dele now?
He's looked good again under Mason. He essentially got 2 assists against Leeds (had it not been for a ridiculous offside) and could arguably get back to his best under the new manager that comes in. If we got a great offer then I wouldn't mind letting him go simply to fund signings for other areas of higher need but I wouldn't be overly concerned about selling him this summer.
Every transfer window Dele stays with us his value falls. He's never, ever going to get back to being the player he once was, even if he has a slight upturn in form as he did when Jose came in.
We'd do better to get rid for the maximum possible amount ASAP and use those funds to rebuild. Not only is Dele a player on the decline, but very few other outgoings are going to generate significant cash this window.
We could've probably got £60m for Dele a year or 18 months ago. We'd probably be lucky to get £25-30m now, and it will only fall.
If it helps, look who is the guy winning a key defensive header and then actually setting up the assist for Moura to even score that crucial goal. Not saying he deserves outstanding praise or legend status, but he at least deserves to be given the same slack as others.
