Yeah with the tax problem etc, currently they are doing well, and they seem to invest well and find decent players from nowhere, he won't leave his post this Jan, if he does then he will have lost it, and will be no use to man nor beast, our first tell tale sign will be a contract extension for Naughton..
The thing is Waddle, I dont think we want any manager who we want will leave until the summer

Totally agree, i think we need a massive slice of luck in a temporary appointment, Van Gaal is doing fuck all for 3/4months, let's get him in before he jets off to Rio, not as if he will be sitting by the phone making hotel reservations for the Dutch squad.

They wont sack Moyes, they just arent that type of club, I think he will be given 2 years regardless of top 4 now imo

I think that club disappeared together with Fergie and Gill. If they miss out on CL he could be gone already this spring/summer. A weak start to season two and he'll definitely be sacked. The owners are easily rattled due to banking on constant success.

Hmm, this is going to be an absolute shocker...

Atletico de Madrid.
Err he wants to come to England and Atletico are going to lose two big players in the next two years. Also they are a selling club that sells to pay their debts and etc. Unlike us they are in a bad situation financially. Heres what he said the other week.

“I remain convinced La Liga is boring. There is little opportunity for teams other than Barcelona or Real Madrid, but our players have put in some massive work and we’ll see what happens.

“I’m referring to what has happened in the last decade. We can’t compare to them."

Now Barca have apparently a neymar style first option deal on Torres, then they are linked/trying to sign Koke to make their new Xavi and Iniesta combo imo.

Thats not accounting for Diego Costa. The finances have gotten so bad there that the Taxman is now taking money directly from transfers. They wont even make financial fair player at the moment!

This summer they are certain to lose:
Courtois and Koke. Thats two huge players

Then they will probably have to sell Diego Costa just to make some money to buy someone in!

They have debts of around €120million. That may get worse depending on what the investigation in to state funded clubs and spanish clubs results in. (They arent being accused of being a state funded club atm iirc)

Apparently Atletico may be as much as €300million in debt with a third going to the taxman with a 4.5% interest rate. Which is equivalent to one Villa lol.

They also had their Uefa prize money frozen due to the initial FFP sanctions of not paying their tax or other clubs/debts

Would anyone be interested in me writing a "The case for Mircea Lucescu" thread, or are we risking a case of hyperinflation?

Sigh, I think you're deluding yourself mate.

I'd love Simeone, I really would, but I just know we will lose out. Either that or we'll have to wait, and by that time no one will want to manage us.

I think he will end up at Chelsea if they sack Mourinho this season but Atletico are no way a better club then us come July, they may be at the moment and imo are a great bet for this years CL.

However they are and as are all spanish clubs minus the big teams are in the shitter. They got lucky last season they sold Falcao for 60mill otherwise they would be bust right now! They had give €50million to the taxman to stop that happening.

Also going in to administration is not a option in Spain as it results it in automatic relegation

Also Barca and Real Madrid maybe in the shitter soon as the EU isnt happy

They would have to pay Moyes near £25million to sack him

Would love him to come and manage us but there isn't a chance in hell of that happening! Anyone who thinks either Simeone, Klopp are realistic candidates for the managers job need a massive reality check!

Spurs fans will be dreading the sound of all that pressing, fouling and hard work. They don't want a collective approach, they want big lottery spaces and Ginola nutmegging 16 players and taking a bow.

He'd have them singing "we want our (never actually really seen and wouldn't know it was if it bit their cock off) Tottenham back" in 3 months flat.

Players would be dreading this as well in my opinion... I have seen the mumblings from Sherwood that the players are tired and suggestions that AVB's training sessions are to blame. Doesn't bode well for Simeone, Pochettino or whoever would come in...

Really does need to be a whole change in the ethos of everything associated with the club.
