The only player I can think of who knows – really knows – how to deal with physically rough opposition is in fact Soldado.
Ade? Yeah, he is tall, but he will eventually be bullied over the edge and do something stupid.
Eriksen? Brilliant. But not a fighter in *that* sense.
Lamela? Stambouli? Dembele?
Because of the physical aspect of this match, I'd 100 % rest Lloris. He is too important to be risked in this specific match.

Remember the Soldado and Mason kafuffle with Benteke. They have each others back.

So, Sheffield Utd are basically going to try and kick us out the game. Great. A few injuries to key players is exactly what we need.

Dirty northern clogging bastards....where's Sandro when you need him?

I hope Poch brings these comments up to put pressure on the officials as that's exactly what managers of other top clubs would do.

why do we think they are going to kick us about?

Just some comments earlier in the thread by one of their players. Can't blame them in some ways and at least they're honest about it.

We really could do without our best players being "done" though.

Ahh just read Jose Baxter's comments. What a prick.

Here's my lineup which I expect to be 90% wrong:

Vorm
Yedlin Dier Chiriches Davies
Lennon Capoue Paulinho Townsend
Soldado Adebayor

My biggest worry is that the team will just turn up expecting to win and will struggle like we've seen so many times before with spurs teams.

I really dislike Nigel clough so I hope we batter them.
Yea I feel this happened a bit against Palace

I know some suggest fatigue as the issue after a hectic xmas schedule - but that was the same for Palace more or less and I think having just beat Chelsea comfortably we maybe took Palace a bit lightly and paid for it

Tonight I hope we put on a good display and do everything we can to put the game to bed in one night - I am not really expecting it but a win by 3 or more clear goals is what I want

With that team news I would imagine to see:

----------------------------Lloris--------------------------
Walker-------Dier------------------Vertonghen--Davies-
---------------Mason-------------Stambouli------------
-----Townsend------------------------------Eriksen------
-------------------Kane----------Adebayor----------------

Subs: Vorm, Kaboul, Rose, Dembele, Paulinho, Capoue, Soldado

Oh I was close to be the winner

Lloris <--> Vorm
Capoue <--> Lennon

Was never so close before :D

Walker Dier Vertonghen Davies
Stambouli Paulinho
Townsend Soldado Eriksen
Kane

Oooo 3 wrong. Glad mason starts. I was going to add him but thought he was still in fit. Would have been good to play lloris. Would have had Vorm for the return though. Ade.... I care about as much for him as he does for THFC.
