For me, Dembele is close to being first name on the team sheet - perhaps it's questionable whether you play Paulinho or Holtby but I'm still sticking with the former due to his ability to make those purposeful runs forward whilst still putting in a good shift.

True, I'm just worried about Dembele's knees. I personally think Paulinho & Holtby could work together exceptionally well. Any combination of the two'd work.

Anyhow, this is the team most of them seem to think it will be:

Mignolet

Johnson Skrtel Sakho Flanagan

Lucas Allen

Sterling Coutinho Henderson

Suarez

They seem really confident. I'd of been more concerned if Gerrard and Sturridge were in that side, but I'll be very disappointed if we don't beat that Liverpool side.

is gerrard injured?

That team doesn't scare me in the slightest, take out Suarez and you have a very average premier league team.

Spurs team for me should be:

------------Lloris------------
Walker Dawson Chicheres Verts
------Paulinho--Sandro--------
Lennon----Holtby----Townsend
---------Soldado--------------

Subs: Friedel, Capoue, Dembele, Lamela, Sig, Chadli, Defoe

Townsend looked lively on the left when he came on v Sunderland so think he could be more direct and test their full backs more than Chadli. Soldado for Defoe too.

Here's a question for everybody. Not who you'd start but what do we think AVB will do in terms of Soldado or Defoe for this one? I really don't have a clue what he'll do.

It'll be Defoe. I'd put money on it.

I'd go with Dembele in place of Holtby 'cause we need someone to keep possession for us in the middle, and with that line-up without Dembele, there isn't anyone. I also wouldn't mind seeing Lamela in that line-up behind Soldado, with Sandro and Dembele anchoring the centre. That would mean dropping Paulie. We definitely have some choices there. The game's going to be pretty open is my guess; I really feel we should go for it in an attacking sense.

If Dembele is fit he starts all day long for me, beside Sandro as well.

We don't need Dembele to be a DM, he was bought to replace Modric. He needs to score goals and create them to be of any use. Paulinho will do that better in IMO.

Well, he pulled up with a hamstring strain - confirmed by Rodgers but it's unclear what the prognosis is although chances are he'll be unlikely to face us or at least, a late fitness test on match day.

According to physioworks.com, even the lightest hammy strain means 1 to 3 weeks out.

Was about to say, normally I light strain is normally two weeks recovery time standard.

Can't see how he plays unless they're taking a risk in rushing him back and with the busy period looming I would seriously doubt they'll take a chance on him, they shouldn't be anyway.

True, and age also plays a part with recovery times :)
