Still some days away, doesn't mean we can not form some teams already. :sneaky:

Is it correct that Romero, GLC and Davinson will be out in qarantine? Oh dear.

I would slot Rodon in at CB (if recovered form injury) and keep Tanganga at RB. Palace's main threat comes from the wings and might not be the best game for Emerson to debut.

Lloris
Tanganga Rodon Dier Reguilon
Høbjerg Skipp Dele
Son Kane Bergwijn
Otherwise (if Rodon still injured), if Nuno has time to work on it, we could try a 3-4-3:

Lloris
Tanganga Dier Davies
Emerson Højbjerg Skipp Reguilon
Dele
Kane Son

With all the issues with quarantine, I would go 4-2-3-1

Lloris
Royal Tanganga Dier Reguilon
Hojbjerg Skipp
Gil Dele Son
Kane

are other teams getting as screwed by these internationals as us?

Well Aston Villa are losing Martinez which could be argued as a bigger loss than us losing GLC, Romero and Sanchez (especially as 2 of them haven't started a prem game for us this season).

They have to isolate in Croatia for 10 days. At least they can train there, whereas in UK they would have to stay in an airport hotel room.

I think the club are requesting if they can isolate at the Lodge, where they can train.

Do we know if all the players called up have gone and who will be available for the Palace game , normally Spurs website has a list of players on international duty as yet nothing. If those returning have to isolate in an Government approved hotel does it include The Savoy or Ritz.:)

Thought they were coming back via Croatia.
They are (or at least that's what's reported), but it's not just a touch-down-and-go to circumvent quarantine. They can either come directly back to the UK from South America and isolate in a hotel for 10 days (no fitness work, confined to barracks), or they can go to a country which neither requires quarantine from South America, nor is on the UK's red list (eg Croatia). They still have to stay out of the UK for 10 days, but can train freely in Croatia then return directly to the team when they then touch down in the UK.

Either way we lose them for 10 days, but at least with the Croatia stop-off they can maintain full fitness. I think there is going to be a little contingent from a few Prem teams all going to Croatia to train together.

I am not a fan of 3 at the back really. I very much believe it's how we will end up though. What has become fairly obvious over the last couple of games is we seem to be working on slipping full backs through to create from wide. PEH especially looking for those runs every time he goes forward. I'm not sure we are actively looking to play a creative number 10 type player.

Other clubs with S American players must be in the same position as us are Liverpool losing Allinson & Firmino and Man C Ederson & Jesus, can't seem to find the Brazilian squad anywhere to see who has been called up.

Reckon we can get through this , Tanganga will to have cover for Sanchez alongside Dier, Tanguy must be fit by now he covers for Lo Celso & Rodon if fit covers for Romero , both on the bench.
Expecting almost same as against Watford with Royal at RB & Tanganga alongside Dier .

It's a lot worse than most people realise. There are 6 groups of World Cup qualifiers in South America (September, October, November, January, February, March). So that's a minimum of 60 days lost. To make matters worse, Emerson could easily be called up by Brazil.

With the delta variant spreading across Europe, there is no guarantee that Croatia will stay on the green list come the expected winter surge in cases. If it is not possible to use a third country, the players will be confined to a hotel room to quarantine with no exercise/training facilities. It would then take another 3/4 days to recover match fitness.

Some of the top EPL sides are also affected but they have far stronger squads. Expect to see a lot of Doherty and Winks this season.
