Straight back at it in to another derby on Thursday... so instead of dwelling on Sundays disappointment...

Can't see Ange doing anything other than Davies at left back. And I don't think he knows who he can trust in CM at the moment so that's a toss up. Sonny and Maddison don't deserve to start at the moment giving their form but with Werner out I think it means Sonny is guaranteed to play...

There will be no change to the formation so I reckon it could be this (other than the fact he more than likely sticks with Maddison)

I'd play them both. Johnson right and kulu as a 10. With richarlison up front and son left, that'd potentially include a bit a grit, pace and guile that the slow mo Maddison is gumming up these days

Not trying to pick an argument here, Mr Pink, but that is poor form for a side with our aspirations and ability.

If you look back to how they often lined up with Cancelo (Porro) playing high up the pitch as a left (right) inside attacking playmaker with Grealish (Kulu) holding the width outside of him. On the opposite side Walker (VdV) sits deeper and helps snuff out counter attacks. I don't see any reason it can't work and avoids us leaving someone like Davies completely exposed in 1v1's.

Pape 45 mins 27 passes 100% accuracy
Biss 26 mins 26 passes 100% accuracy
Rod 45 mins 32 passes 86.5% accuracy
PEH 64 mins 59 passes 86.8% accuracy.

For the midfield against Chelsea I would measure who can jump the highest to defend at corners/free kicks

Some have been calling for VDV as left back and Dragusin is as the other CB to pair with Romero and they were calling for it before the NLD when we knew that Udogie was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Will Ange opt for that or will he stick Emerson there and leave the CB pairing as it is ? I suspect it will be the latter, we shall see very soon.
