Anyone know if he is with the French U21s?

Also do you think he will stay given that Ramos appears not to like him? I just dont see how he fits in unless he replaces steed or drops off a striker. Neither being likely at this rate.

It's not a case of 'not liking him' - he's in the correct place for now: with the reserves; occasionally on the bench getting 10 minutes here, 10 minutes there.

Bleed him in slowly - Moyes is the master at it at Everton, Wenger bleeds them slowly too. But that's a different thread for a different time ...

He needs to do alot of work in training to get his game up to scratch, has the ability from what he has shown on the pitch, just has to iron out some of the bad points in his game, dont think he is ready for Ramos to let him lsoe in the first team alot yet... lets just hope they are working him hard in training trying to mold him into the right type of player for us

Ramos said that he could be the spare striker after the sale of Defoe leaving him with only 3. Hope he gets a bit of playing time against Derby.

He has bags of ability and good feet. Just needs time. I think Ramos likes him

That could very well be what Ramos will do if Bent is fit by then.

Hi Chinaman - well Bent started training last friday - so good chance I reckon - even if he can only play an hour - because we'll need him in the Cup games coming up too

As the league season appears to be heading nowhere we need to give him a bit of experience in the so-called "smaller" games startin with derby imo. get him ready 4 next season

The league season is still very much alive.

Our next 3 games give us a genuine opportunity to get 9 points, if we can do this we can certainly pressure the UEFA places.

Until we qualify for europe we have to attack the Premiership games.

Actually, our next six games give us a genuine opportunity to get 18 points. The first one I'm not wholly confident about is Blackburn.

As far as Taarabt is concerned, the reports we've had from our regular reserve-watchers and SpursOdyssey have made it clear that he has a lot to learn before he can be risked in anything more than cameo appearances for the First XI.

Plus he is probably still cooking for Kaboul, after a hard days training etc. Nice couscous and get the slippers on in front of the fire.

He's already proved himself in cameo appearances for the first team. Weren't you watching?

The talent is there no question, just a matter of Ramos whipping him into shape in terms of being a top prem player.

Yes, I was. Proven himself as what, precisely?

Oh, hold on, it's that bloke who thinks all Arsenal players are ten times better than ours…

I don't think there's any doubt that he has lots of natural ability, but he's very very raw and currently seems to still be playing like he's at school (the best and most important player on the pitch).

he needs coaching, and we have the perfect setup for him to realise his potential, what is he now? 18? 19? there's a long way to go for him yet.

spot on haxman, thats the only thing he's proven so far. He has lots of talent but isnt ready for anything unless its a 10min cameo. I'd like to see him get 25-30mins as a forward against derby if we're 2 or 3 up though. If he cant tear apart derby's defence he hasnt got a hope!
