This is the 1st ever FA Cup meeting between us. We have met 45 times previously (40 league games and 5 league cups). We are unbeaten in our last 16 games against the Swans in all competitions (W12 D4), drawing at Wembley and winning 0-2 at the Liberty in the EPL this season.
Swansea's last win over us did come however, in a cup competition, winning 1-0 in a League Cup tie in September 1991. This is Swansea's first appearance in the FA Cup quarter finals since 1964, they reached the semi-final in that year, eliminating Liverpool in the quarter final.
We are aiming to reach the FA Cup semi finals in back to back seasons for the first time since 1981/1982 season., where we won the competition that year. Son has had a hand in 13 goals in his last 10 starts in the FA Cup (Nine goals 1 assist). Tammy Abraham has been involved in the 5 goals in his last 2 FA Cup appearances at the Liberty Stadium (2 goals, 3 assists).
We - having already eliminated Newport County - could become the first team since Southend United in 1975/76 to eliminate two Welsh sides in a single FA cup campaign, when they knocked out Cardiff and Swansea
