I would buy two strikers and load Harry Kane...

I would then go for both...

Wilfried Bony - impressed every time I see him pure power on the ground and in the air, great finisher.
Loic Remy - great pace and scores goals, reminds me of Henry..

I think we could get both for £30 million...

I think added to Adebayor and Soldado we would be an extremely dangerous team...
I think also a more potent attack would help us defensively as teams would think twice before
attacking us in numbers..

We could potentially play three of these strikers in a 4-3-3 against some teams and probably increasing our goal difference near to what it should be for a top 4 side.

If we are going to be strong in the leagues and all the cups we need 4 top strikers!!

playing those 3 strikers would mean leaving out the likes of eriksen and lamela, fuck that, main areas to improve is LB and another CB

A 4-3-3 of

-------------Lloris
Walker Chiriches Verts New LB (Blind?)
------------Sandro
--------Paulinho Holtby
Lamela-----------------Eriksen
----------- Soldado

This should still score plenty of goals without having too splash what you think is 30mil on 2 strikers that isnt really needed imo

Completely agree with this. Personally, I think we should go for Riccaro Rodriquez and Schar.

If we are to by an extra striker that can give us an option on the wing, we should go for Drmic. His team are almost relegated and he has a 3.5m relegation release clause. Even if they dont he is apparently available for 8m. He is 21 has 16 goals in the Bundesliga (same as Reus and only 2 less than Lewandowski) can play striker or either wing, can use both feet, is fast, skillful and can create his own goals.

Was watching a Drmic video on youtube and came across Hiroshi Kiyotake at Nurnberg. Seems to be a pretty creative midfielder with a shot on him. Anyone seen him play?

I'd love Bony. Been banging the Bony drum since before he signed for Swansea, and still can't believe we didn't go in for him.

I don't have a problem with Remy either, but I doubt we'd get both for £30m. Bony's price tag would probably be around £20m now.

Ultimately it's difficult to speculate on what type of strikers we need until we know who our manager will be. If it's de Boer, I doubt he'd need more than three strikers competing for places, as he wouldn't be playing three strikers in his forward three.

I'm quite happy with the strikers we have. In the right system both Ade and Soldado can do well, and Kane is looking like a decent third option. I'd still take Bony though if we had a chance.

As others have said, our priorities are elsewhere. For a start it would be nice if we had an actual LB in the squad.

We for some reason never go for players from the Eredivisie. Hopefully that changes if FDB becomes our manager.

I'd like Bony as well, could score 20 goals or more in a season for us imo, and I think we could get him for around 15 million. I think especially with a new manager coming in, we should sell Ade this summer. We just don't know if he'll get along with a new manager and perform for him, or go back to the Ade that played for AVB.

Also depends whether we're competing in the Europa league. If not, then Bony, Soldado, and Kane would probably be enough. If we are, I think it would be wise to get another versatile striker on top of that like Remy that could also play in other positions. I don't think Remy would cost that much either.

Bony will also improve next season as well imo, he's adjusted very well to the Premier League. Scored 31 goals in 30 games for Vitesse before he moved, and has scored 25 in all competitions this season. That's really, really good for a striker new to the league. Wouldn't be surprised if he goes up another level next season.

I think Remy is a good shout. We could do with a striker like him who can operate in a wide role too. And they obviously need to be rapid too. Would be a replacement for siggy/Chadli/Lennon IMO (whichever one is deemed unnecessary and is sold)

Wow I had no idea he's scored 25 this season, very impressive

Not sure if it's Remy's agent or QPR trying to drive his price up but there were reports of Remy going to Bayern for £15 m plus.

Everyone thinks playing Lamela is going to magically make Soldado suit the lone striker role in the PL. Lamela won't give Soldado pace, won't make him able to hold the ball up effectively, won't stop him becoming isolated and bullied by defenders.

I'm with the OP totally, except I'd go for Remy and Lukaku, although I'd take Bony as I think he's a good striker.

Agree about loaning Kane too. A loan to a PL team, where he can play most weeks is just what he needs. If we want to be a big club, we need to think like one. That's exactly what the other big clubs would do.

I think we more or less have tried this formation this season?? although I will admit Lamela has hardly played but when he did he was hardly prolific... But as he scored 15 goals in serie A last season I would start with him next season.

I would have Sandro to break up play and Dembele to feed Lamela, Remy and Eriksen...

I like Bony as target man as he can occupy two central defenders, hold onto the ball then bring players in as well as being a clinical finisher.. He also plays the width of box and does not wonder all over the pitch like Ade... so the balance would be better.

Against the weaker teams I would swap Sandro for Paulinho and maybe even Lamela for Soldado.
Against the top teams I would swap Dembele for Capoue....

Obviously other players in the squad like Holtby, Chadli, Townsend, Soldado etc... would get game time from the bench.

So I am suggesting something like this to make us as threatening as Liverpool or Man City..

Looking at the previous 5 years or so Spurs generally score between 55-67 goals per season which is similar to Everton and good enough for 5th and if you are very lucky 4th.

If we score between 70-80 we would be highly like to finish in the top 3rd or 4th

If we score between 80-90 we would be challenging for the title... we need to to become a team that scores a lot more goals than in previous years or become much better at defending like Chelsea.

We only need another specialist striker if we're going to get rid of Ade. It is hard enough keeping 2 happy let alone 3.

Soldado, Remy, Kane would probably be a good mix as due to Remys flexibility he could play as a wide forward.

Completely agree with your thinking. Playing one up front in the PL requires strength, or failing that a turn of pace (at least over the first few yards). If you have both, then even better. Soldado doesn't possess those qualities, so even with more creative players, he won't be able to stretch teams and will still become isolated and frustrated.

I like your team there. Sandro and Dembele are still the best CM partnership we have imo (although I'd like to upgrade on Dembele with a true quality playmaker but doubt we have the money).

Ahead of that I think Remy would be better on the right, with perhaps Lamela playing centrally and Eriksen coming I from the left.

Lukaku instead of Bony would be very tasty indeed but Bony is far more attainable.
