It's not an easy choice when the money and contracts are out in front of you I think most people would argue that is the safer route than staying at spurs and potentially getting released in the future anyway.

What surprised me about the kirby situation is that he's continued to drop down and down

Upgraded to tier 1 in 2020, but you are correct in the point that they have been a very good academy for a lot longer than that.

Dane Scarlet came on as substitute on the 53rd minute for England u20 against the Czechs u20 today, with the score locked at 1-1. He scored a brace on the 70th and 90+3, to help England win 3-1.

Paternoster had a short spell at Fulham after leaving us, then got a scholarship at Shrewsbury and as far as I can tell has been on the books of Hemel Hempstead since Christmas time.

I'm so pleased for Dane. He's had it tough. People have gone cold on him because of a couple of poor loans but that doesn't change the fact that he's a really talented young player. He just needs to catch a break.

Its difficult, as youths are tied in, so wpuld need another club to pay compensation fpr them to sign

Considered not signing my lads contract offer (due to his club in turmoil), but other clubs wont pay compensation so could risk him not having a club from next month until january or sign, keep him in training in a club that cpuld go under at any given moment.

I wonder if Dane’s dip in form had more to do with a growth spurt. You often see players between 17 and 21 have a period of time when they suddenly put on a lot of muscle mass. As opposed to others where it happens gradually. EG: Bale looked like Bambi on ice for a couple of seasons at the start of his career. He put on a considerable amount of mass during that time. Once he physically settled, everything caught up and the rest is history. Dane could be going through something similar. Fingers crossed that maybe he’s about to break out and make good on all that promise he exhibited.
