That's an interesting line-up. Looks like we're going 3-5-2.

Back three of Hackett, Craig and new signing Paskotsi, wing backs are Lusala and Cassanova, Midfield three of Devine, John and Santiago and Whittaker and Scarlett up top.
Could Craig not be in midfield, with one of Santiago or John playing further forward too?

Probably nothing but Keenan Ferguson's profile has disappeared from the U23s page. Also interesting that we're trialling new right backs from Chelsea.

Lavinier and Omole not trialist anymore

crazy that georgiou is still here and playing games, not that i think he's a terrible player but i remember about four years ago we were saying it's probably time for him to move on. also no cirkin again so would assume he's injured.

Looks like the upper management changes for the youth system are showing changes of how we operate. It's been awhile since we brought in players who were cut from similar youth ranks to our own into the u18/u23s. I definitely think it gives the u23s a much better chance at being more competitive than they have been for several years. Also think it helps the players/manager get round pegs into round holes.

I understand wanting players to be flexible positionally but I think at the u23 level especially where players struggle to transition to the next level I think we're better off having players figure out their position and really try to master it rather than playing 1 of 3 possible positions from week to week.
