I'm taking the boy to see the mighty Spurs XI at Sixfields on Saturday.

The wierd thing is, it's not mentioned anywhere on the OS as a fixture...do they not count SpursXI games as pre-season friendlies?

I'm sure they announced it for MK Dons last season...strange...it's definately happening, right?

Can anyone confirm or deny this match is taking place...please.

OS won't include it in the fixures because it's most likely to be academy/youth team players.
The game at Watford was originally scheduled to be on Saturday with both games classed as Spurs XI, so I would assume half squad at Northampton, half at Watford.
The Watford game is now on Sunday and has been officially announced as full squad friendly. As a result I can't imagine any of them also playing on Saturday......

Squad for Northampton will include the likes of Stewart, Ekong. Coulibally, probably Button in goial and probably pretty much the squad wo have played in games against Como, Kingstonian etc.

As an example the Kingstonian sqad was : Jonathan Miles (now on trial for loan at Bishops Stortford), Nathan Byrne, Grant Hall, Milos Veljkovic, Kevin Stewart, Nabil Bentaleb, Tomislav Gomelt, Alex Pritchard, Ryan Mason, Cristian Ceballos, , John Bostock, Jordan Archer. Jack Munns, Jack Barthram and William Ekong.

Essentially expect it to be a pre-season freindly for the new u 21 league team

Anyone going - love to hear what you think !

Think one of the players a lot would like to see is Zeki Fryers - just to see how good he is compared to the rest of demt squad and whether he looks able to get into Spurs main squad - he has played in about half a dozen games for Man U including a couple of sub appearances in Premiership, the rest in the League Cup.

I imagine that team will be fairly similar to our U21 team next season, maybe with the addition of Carroll plus obviously some will go out on loan.

Assuming that Northampton put out anything resembling their first team, that is a good result for quite a young and inexperienced Spurs XI.
