The issue is that we struggle to create many clear chances and we concede many clear chances. We're not very good at keeping the ball, we lack industry in the middle of the park, we don't press from the front but we also dont stay compact enough to be effective as a low block, we seem weak mentally and players hide from the ball.

We're not in great shape.

You're probably right. Every time he's been on the ball he's done pretty well but he hasn't been involved enough and doesn't really look that up for it. Personally I'd prefer it if we took off Dier and brought on Gedson or Skipp but I can definitely see Jose picking Tanguy.

But son and moura has always been like that though? They both can sometimes finish but if youare talking about real awareness to make plays to run into space to drag players away, make a final pass to put it on a plate for others, they dont have that. If they do they would be hazard.

Both Son and Lucas have been shocking tonight. Even with 3v2 ww manage to hit the first defender. What's the point of playing On the break if you can't break up a two man defense with a simple pass?

Son and Lucas cant lead the line. Neither have the intelligence to look up and play in supporting players. Especially when our game plan seems to revolve around getting the ball to them as quickly and directly as possible. Its why we just recycle posession over and over and invite pressure.

Only ever one or the other, with a Dele/lamela/GLC type behind them .

Dele is just as bad at losing possession mate. All three are garbage

I just don't believe sitting deep/long ball counter football is relevant anymore. I obviously stand behind Jose because he's our manager, and we have to see what next season holds, but I just do not like this type of football.
