There's no way around it: the brutal reality is that if we want to compete at the top, we need top forwards. And they generally cost big money. Kane and Son did almost all the scoring. I don't think Richarlison, Werner, Kulusevski and Johnson wouldn't get into Liverpool, City, Arsenal or even Villa's sides right now.

We never seem to have a balanced squad. For ages we were crying out for better defenders. Now we've got that sorted, we have three or four forwards who are rarely a goal threat.

Some posters were getting pretty aggressive at anyone that suggested he would be anything other than underwhelming and there was a reason Leipzig were happy for him to go
