Agree, he’s been the best player today. He’s also not been as bad as people make out this season and had some solid performances. The main issue with Emerson is that he cannot hit a cross, which in contes system is pretty essential for a wing back.

Conte reminds me a little of Eddie Jones, the England rugby coach.
Unbelievably intense and very controlling.
That’s fine if the players buy in and improve in quality.
But it can also be quite stifling to natural skills and creativity.

Really, really poor first half. Pretty much everyone looked off it. I know we normally play better in the 2nd half but this is going to need everyone to up their game as we were miles off it. Don't think we won a second ball all half.

Wouldn't make a change just yet, give it ten to see if we can up our intensity. Hope Conte has really got into them as we need a result here, we don't want to get dragged into a dogfight in this group, all games could be tight so need to get results at home.
