Professional performance, good win, got to see a couple of young players get a run out.

Delighted for Devine, what a moment for the young kid and such a well taken goal.

Judging by the last few pages, I'm glad I didn't follow the match in here. If you can't enjoy the magic of the FA Cup and find things in that game and performance to complain about, I'm not really sure why you bother watching our games.

Don't really care who we draw as long as it's a home game. We would have probably hit Marine for more if we were playing at home. The pitch wasn't great and it forced our players into taking more touches than necessary.

Bale looked done today, injured and uncomfortable, I love him but I hope he comes back into form but not so sure anymore.

I know Ray, it's not something new.

Like I said, I don't know another fan base quite like it for hating on our own players.

I was gonna comment on it when I first saw the “I have never seen any fan base hating on certain players” notion ...
From looking at the opposition forums (inspired by the “what are the opposition fans saying about us thread) I have come to the conclusion that this occurs in almost all “fan” forums

I'll take your word for it bud, as I haven't frequented opposition forums since my AOL days. Back then though, I can honestly say that I never saw it to the extent I have seen with our own club.

Ok. To make you happy.

we were amazing for the 1st 6 minutes.
Wow, those bin men, teachers and fishermen are just like Bayern Munich. Dele would flick the binman as easy as say, I don’t know, Ramos.

Dude, seriously, you really are on a roll ain't ya

Listening to the last words on spurs podcast today. the presenter Richard Cracknell opens the show with " a match watched by a cardboard cutout of Jurgen Klopp so spurs responded by bringing a cardboard cutout of Gedson Fernandes"

5 minutes in another bloke goes "There were a lot of part time footballers on display, such as Gedson Fernandes".

They are laying into him.

I didn't think Fernandes played too badly considering the lack of game time he has had.

The question about Gedson came too my head, what he is actually bringing to a match. He has a lovely technique and feet but produces absolutely nothing with it. No end product, no awareness, messes the play up as soon as it gets interesting.

Combined with his other games here i think its clear to see he lacks a winning mentality. He wont make it in England I guess.

Well their slogan is "Set-up by Spurs fans for Spurs fans, as we have ‘The Last Word On Spurs"...

I suspect those wondering why we didn't try to smash a team 7 leagues below us by 10+ goals have never really competed in sport.
It's the same reason as you wouldn't put your 5 year old kid in goal in your back garden and repeatedly smash the ball past him and celebrate tanking him 20-0.

There is a level of respect necessary during these mismatches where you still have to beat them but you don't go out to humiliate them.
This is their cup final, the height of their careers that they will go on to tell their grandchildren about.
You don't try to post a cricket score and ruin what should be the best day of their lives.

We won comfortably 5-0, they walked off with their pride intact so it was a very professional job respectfully done.

You smash them.Twist the knife.

Like the Allblacks did to Japan in the 95 rugby world cup. 145-17.

I think you're being a bit overly romantic about it there to be honest. That probably plays a small part but it's got far more to do with the fact that there isn't any need to.

We've got long and congested season ahead of us so what would be the point in the players busting a gut to run the score up for the sake of it? Once we had it in the bag we've just gone through the motions to play out the rest of the game. It's just common sense rather than some noble heroic act like you're making it out to be.
