They should be squad players at most. Neither get anywhere the teams of other traditional top 5 teams and I'd argue they'd would struggle to get ahead of the CB's at Newcastle, Palace and West Ham.

Buy the players to fit the coach. The players played fine at the end of last season in the same formations. It’s on the players. Why should he change his formations and tactics to suit some below par players. Step up or get out.

You could change the system but you'd just be kicking the can down the road.

Conte's method is so effective it deserves patience rather than shelving until he gets players in.

That was in many ways our best 1st half of the season but we are 2-0 down. The reason being that modern defenders do not know how to defend. They’ve had it coached out of them.
The first goal is because a team’s top goal scorer is in acres of free space in the penalty area. Not one of 2 CB’s is close to him. CB’s don’t mark forwards any more they mark space.
The second goal is because defenders have drilled into them that possession is more important than safety first, than protecting your goal and not giving the opposition goal scoring opportunities.
Still can’t see why the push in the area is not a foul but the one outside the area is?

Agree 352 worked well against 442 why a lot of people did this in the 90s. However 433 or 4321 broke 352 due to the wing overlaps.
