Tobys long balls over the top are going to be the key today Liverpool have been suspect to that ball all season with son and dele running into it we can do damage

Possibly. But what's the one thing we really struggle with? Teams pressing our players hard and giving them no time on the ball. What team are the best at working hard as a unit pressing high up the pitch? I see nothing but a hammering.

I'm amazed that there are 18 supporters on this forum who are casting their vote and claiming we will keep a clean sheet. The only logical conclusion I can come to is they are not being serious.

I'd be shocked if we had any bit of a good performance let alone a win or a draw.

I can't remember not wanting to watch a match as much as this one and I've never actively looked to do something else other than watch a Spurs game until today.

Hahaha. My dad just texted me the same 'can't wait to get this over and done with'

Actually a bit excited about the match now mainly intrigued to see if Jose is still a world class coach, he got outclassed by Lampard and then let down by Aurier & Son but this is a game he should as a manager absolutely thrive on, key players out at home to the best team in the country, if he can get us a draw or an incredible unlikely win then everyone will be again talking about how Jose has still got it etc.

lets see....

Well, the rest of the year SC is calling out for a shift of fan's mindset, saying that it's up to the fans to believe and change the mindset on the pitch. Then here is one routine, domestic match, one of 38 every season, and all of the sudden fans are being ridiculed for believing. It's just a premier league match, that's it. They are not unbeatable.

A clock is right twice a day even when it's stopped and no longer working so I guess anything is possible, but keeping a clean sheet against a full strength and fully rested Liverpool when they've got the likes of Mane, Salah, Firmino and their full backs chomping at the bit and pressing the f*ck out of us is going to take some convincing when I've seen us ship in goals against the likes of Norwich, Middlesbrough, Brighton, and Southampton in our previous games.
A win for us this evening without keeping a clean sheet is far more likely than a 0-0 draw or any win for us without them scoring, and the win for us with them scoring is a bloody long shot, so in that sense I will believe....

Taking a leaf out of the @Archibald&Crooks playbook with ridiculous bets I've gone for:
  • £1 at 66/1 - Salah to score first, Vertonghen carded first
  • £1 at 20/1 - Firmino to score first, Liverpool score in both halves, Vertonghen carded
  • £1 at 10/1 - Mane or Salah score inside 9:59
  • £1 at 60/1 - Mane to score first, Aurier carded first
  • £1 at 100/1 - Firmino scores first, Liverpool 3+ goals, Aurier carded and penalty awarded
  • £1 at 500/1 - Tottenham win

500/1 for a Tottenham win? Regardless of our chances, those are unbelievable odds in a two-horse race

The football gods are too busy shitting on us from their lofty perch to bother. If we're to get anything today we'll have to rip it from their withered claws
This football gods thing rings so true, admittedly they're a much better team than us atm but whilst we're having a massive injury crisis their best players seem fucking invincible.
It wouldn't surprise me if Salah has woken up the find that the football gods have gifted him a third leg or a pair of fucking wings whilst he slept.
****s.

So funny - I was just saying exactly that. The wine at the ground is so bad but I’m sure it will taste fine after 3 or 4 glasses
