This is a really important match - not least because we need some momentum and a spring in our step.

I think my earthly body will expire into nothingness if we start poorly and go 0-2 again. Can't hack it and I hope Conte is stood one inch away from each player in turn, demanding they start the match with energy and intent to go and beat villa.

Obviously we will concede, and probably first, so we'll need to score at least two. Villas defence isn't fantastic, especially if he switched the keeper. My feeling is another maddening game with us going 3-1 up before conceding a late goal and a nail biting last few minutes before falling over the line.

Kulusevski has been vocal about our slow start and that Conte is working them hard in training again.

I'm sure Conte has mentioned before about players being on different fitness plans this season due to the world cup, so I'm hoping it starts to come together again now.

If not, we are just inviting teams to press us and push us back during the first half.

Almost definitely going to regret this, but I think were going to be much improved from the Brentford game. Romero (hopefully) back in the team and Son to have his third decent game of the season. There seemed to be a little bit of frustration from Kulu after the last match and I think he's going to have one of 'those' games.

Nailed on that we will concede, but this time I think it'll be after we've scored 3 first.

Personally I thought Aston Villa gave Liverpool a decent match the other day.

Don't think the 3-1 loss was a totally true reflection of how closely matched both teams were. Liverpool certainly had to work hard for the points, and i'd suggest that it was only Villa's attempts at securing an equaliser, that left them open to the counter, which Liverpool duly exploited.

Of course i want the win, but unfortunately, i'd not be surprised if the spoils were shared come the end of this one.

Here's hoping Spurs piss all over my thoughts and prove me wrong.

This game doesn't really matter n the great scheme of things so hoping Emerson, Sanchez and Winks get starts.

It's always a bit boring if we score first so maybe just sit back and let Villa dominate final third possession until Dier gives away a needless corner that Hugo chucks in his own net. That'll set things up nicely for the second half.

Looking forward to Cuti strolling around with the World Cup while booking plane tickets for Argentinas next friendly as Watkins puts Villa up 0-2 on 50 minutes. Bonus points if he comes on, gets a hamstring strain that rules him out until those plane tickets can be used...
