Club aren’t happy by the looks of their statement.

The PL need to be careful here with Levy on the ECB. He’s not a chairman you can push around and with the ESL far from dead things like this won’t keep him on side.

I can't remember the name of the PL chairman, might have been Scudamore? Anyway, him and that coiffured **** David Dein took a stroll on the pitch immediately before the decision was made.

It was the last match at Highbury and meant to be a celebration for them. Wouldn’t have been had we got fourth over them now would it? We should never forget that day. Even dodgier than Filipino throwing 3 in against WBA on the last day years later to produce the same result.

I think a 30 point deduction is the only sensible outcome here. Make them learn.

You could argue 20 points but that would still keep them out of relegation zone.

I hope other teams are going to kick up a fuss over this.

Quite a strong statement here

For me this statement is a start but I would like them to say they are in discussions with the premier league for recovery of the transport and hotel costs for our fans. It’s clear the club believe it was wrong to cancel the game. The disregard by the pl to the fans is disgusting and they need to finance their decision.

I think the other two teams this hurts the most are west ham and utd. Can't imagine west ham being too vocal in support of us, utd maybe.

I have no problem with the game being called off by Arsenal, but it was their choice to send two players on loan for financial gain so they should forfeit the match. Fairly straightforward, it’s not as if they haven’t had months to plan for ACON.

I agree, this should have been forfeited. We should be be going extremely hard on this.

a) It's a farce that the game was called off.
b) the positives out of it is obviously the players that will be available and the fact that Conte will have more time to work with them on his concepts
c) hopefully, we'll get quite a few incoming including DV which will make the postponement work against Arsenal in the long run
d) life is too short. I'm on to more important things for the rest of the weekend. like the ITK, DV, Traore and other transfer threads

on a serious note though, it's pretty easy to see how pissed off the club is. perhaps that will be enough to help them over the last hurdle in making the funds available for some much needed transfers

Don't agree here . No sign of Levy being a heavyweight ever imo . Lasagnegate he rolled over , rolled over when we lost CL place (they reversed the rule double-quick after us so it was clear to everyone it was unfair) . 'Pool had a similarish
issue and they changed rules for them . Levy rolled over nice 'n easy on the Conference League exit....

I think I'd go as far as to say that Levy is particularly a chairman you can push around .

Arsenal 100% should be made to foefeit the match, They loaned out 2 players with 2 more senior loan outs apparently set to be completed soon. They also have suspensions completely of their own making. Their “knocks” likely would have played & will definitely start mid week against liverpool. Its a disgrace. Arsenal’s extreme incompetence & lack of control of their players is absurd. Since Arteta’s come in, they have 13 reds. Double everyone else. And thats just in the league.

Yeah once I thought about all the times he’s failed I think you’re right. I didn’t want us to go there, but you can put the Olympic stadium site defeat on there too.

He’s a bean counter and that’s where he’s clever. As a chairman, I’m not so sure.

This process must be more transparent and full list of players and reasons why they couldn't fulfil the game must be clear. There is just no way that they couldn't field a team from 55 professional (excluding loan players) players on their books. Must be called out for what it is.
