I'm a Dembele fan but its disappointing that he offers the same in youth football as in normal: looks good on the ball but rarely takes the game by the scruff of the neck. Perhaps he's being told to take it steady.

That was a nice attacking move, cutting open the defence football.

Nothing like what the first team plays o_O

I think these kids come through the ages groups together and get taught how to play in a certain way, so build up an understanding and can grow as a team. Then when it comes to the first team squad, we have bottled it and instead of looking what we already had just gone and purchased another player instead who doesn't always adapt to the style or compliment the others around him.

I got a disagree for this, I missed the first half hour or so, was he impressing then?

i agree with you.

Dembele has to add sth to his game. Unbelievable strength and qualities on the ball but most of the time useless unfortunately. Maybe we get a new coach who knows how to get the best out of him.

Maybe that's too late. I think he's set in his way. Sell him and realize a profit.

TBH since his hip injury he has never look as good, he passing has got worse and shooting, which I don't get with his hip injury as it shouldn't be linked.

I cant believe how bad he has got after that hip injury.

For some of you new youth watchers. This is where we dominate the game and then concede a goal against the run of play.

Ratings (from 30th minute onwards)

Archer - 7, had a good game really, wasn't tested but was quick off his line, looked assured and good distribution.
McQueen - 6.5, did well defensively and getting forward but his delivery wasn't great.
Ball - 6, fine
Fryers - 6, fine
Ogilvie - 7, did quite well getting forward I thought.
Bentaleb - 7, still not great defensively but spread the ball well. Wish he was more direct sometimes.
Dembele - 5, a six is probably more fair overall but he gave the ball away more than any other player so it frustrated me somewhat
Onomah - 7, well poised and has great feet.
McEvoy - 6.5, very direct and threatening first half, died a little in the second.
Coulibaly - 6, held the ball up well I thought but doesn't have the best vision and didnt threaten.
Lameiras - 5, looked ok on the ball but finishing and set pieces were dreadful.

Subs:
Lesniak 6: Looked good on the ball, didn't notice him defensively.
Gallifuoco: Barely noticed him
