Tottenham are looking to Italy for striker targets this summer and have Dušan Vlahović and Simy on their radar.

Spurs are in the market for attacking support for Harry Kane, who chairman Daniel Levy is determined to keep at the club this season despite interest from Manchester City.

Fabio Paratici, the newly appointed managing director of football, has already moved for Serie A players and landed Pierluigi Gollini from Atalanta and is trying to sign his team-mate Cristian Romero.

Vlahović and Simy are players under consideration at Spurs after impressing last season. Serbia striker Vlahović had a breakthrough season at Fiorentina in terms of goalscoring, netting 21 times in all competitions. He has attracted interest from other clubs in Europe and is valued at around £50 million.

Simy, 29, would be a cheaper option after Crotone’s relegation from the top flight. The Nigeria international also broke through the 20-goal barrier but could not prevent his team finishing in the relegation zone in the top flight.

Never heard of him, but 20 goals for a relegated team shouldn’t be sniffed at. Any avid Serie A fans who can tell us more?

Looks like a potential cheap stop-gap/backup along the lines of Ings or Vinicius.

Assuming Kane doesn't leave this summer, we'll need this type of signing to tide us over until he leaves next year.

Loan or short term contract ideally.

Nuno loves to get crosses in the box, can see this guy doing well with that, but he'd surely be back up, not competing with Kane

He’s already 29. Will be 30 this season. Can’t see it
You are honestly such a negative poster, I don't think I've seen you post anything positive this whole window. Get a grip and relax, there's still a few weeks before the season starts and even more until the window ends. Maybe save the mass condemnation of the club until after those dates? The persistent gloom makes it a miserable experience to casually read through player threads.

The ignore button exists. No need to do all this.

How the hell is that negative by stating a players age? What a weird reaction to a completely random post. All I was saying is I can't see us signing him as he's 29, it's not the way we do business. How is that negative? Joker.

According to Transfermarkt, he’s worth a little over 6 million pounds. Not too high a price to pay for a striker to spot Harry. Would expect a loan deal like Vinny if we get him. I guess we’ll need to decide if we’re looking for a younger, long-term replacement or a short-term backup (perhaps bridging to Parrott and/or Scarlett, hopefully). Looking at the YouTube highlights, he’s obviously a poacher rather like Vinny albeit in a better league.
I can only imagine the abuse he’ll get when he misses his first Rashford-like, stutter-step penalty.

How old was Llorente when we signed him?
