There are many questions facing Tottenham heading into the summer, as they try to get back to competing in the upper echelons of the Premier League.

Unlike last time, I think there would be quite a few takers now if we backed out. He's certainly shown that he can make a valid contribution and has been much better than I anticipated. I'd keep him for sure.

If given the opportunity I would love for him to stay another season.

What would have happened if Jose had played Bale more regularly this season will be one of my "what ifs" in years to come.

He would love the many world class golf courses in the area but otherwise I would have to think, and hope, no chance.

It was based on that Gareth doesn't come here next season, then Ancelotti wants him. Ball in our (and Gareths) court.

Perhaps he needed that time to bed in ... I thought he looked a shadow of his former self in the first few months.

Ok so from the same place I was hearing all the Bale stuff in the Summer....

He's happy to stay another season, and as far as they are told Levy is happy for that to. It is however completely up to whoever comes in as to whether he does or not. The final decision will be 100% down to the next man in charge.

So there's always a risk an option might have a bit of a history and not want him...
