I cannot wait for this - i was so disapointed last night when it got to the 90th minute as i thought this game wouldn't happen. Last time they visited it was one of the best atmospheres at WHL i've witnesed in many years and i am naive but i am hoping for something similar in 2 weeks time. I am also confident we can win this, this was their team last time out

  • 12 Castellazzi
  • 04 Zanetti
  • 06 Lucio
  • 13 Maicon
  • 25 Samuel
  • 26 Chivu
  • 10 Sneijder
  • 11 Muntari (Obiora Nwankwo 53)
  • 09 Eto'o
  • 27 Pandev (Milito 71)
  • 88 Biabiany (Phillippe Coutinho 64)

  • Even with the midfiels additions you mention in the (very well researched) summary, I think losing Lucio, Maicon (despite what Bale did to him), Sneijder, Eto'o!!, Milito and to an extent Pandev and Muntari, is a massive change and weakens their squad. It is the toughest draw you could get (Lyon and Inter) but i'd rather go to these types of games at the lane than watch a BATE or Clunj!

They took John Carew on trial last week because they are so short of strikers. Also, Cassano has been dropped from the squad after a training ground bust-up. We really should be beating them.

Stramaccioni confirmed Cassano would play in the EL games.

Is anyone allowed to start the game thread?

I hope Lloris is used and not Brad.

There's rumors going around that Freddy Guarin might be out for the match against us. That'd be a huge loss for them if true.

Really?!

That would indeed be huge. As close as they can get to us having Bale out.

Apparently an ankle issue:

Inter could take on Tottenham in the Europa League this week without inspirational midfielder Fredy Guarin.

The Colombian, replaced by Esteban Cambiasso in yesterday’s 3-2 win atCatania, is struggling with an ankle problem.
The former Porto player will be assessed on a daily basis between now and when boss Andrea Stramaccioni has to name his squad for the European tie.

Guarin has had a notable campaign for the Nerazzurri, scoring four goals in 23 League games, plus four in 10 Europa League ties and two in threeCoppa Italia matches.

Apparently an ankle issue:

Excellent news. He's been one of their better players this season.

They are definitely weaker than when we last played them and we are stronger. They'll still put up a fight but we should win both legs. We're a bit lacklustre in Europe though and that's what worries me, especially if we rest a few first teamers.

You can get shorter odds on Southampton beating Chelsea next weekend, than Inter beating us on Thursday.

That is crazy.
