SC Euro 2012 Fantasy Auction

Afternoon ladies and gents,

Just wondering if anyone is interested in an Euro 2012 Fantasy Football auction on www.fantasyleague.com?

The Pro game (normally about £40 per season) is free for Euros, and the basic premise is that a league chairman sets up an online auction, where you have rounds of sealed bids in the lead-up to the tournament to build your squad of 15 players.

The hook is that only one player can play for one manager, so we'd essentially be blind bidding for the same players (with the highest bidder winning the player's services for the tournament), which can be great fun.

For the best competition, you need about 8 people to be involved in total. Probably 12 maximim.

If 6 + people are keen then I'll set up the auction and provide the link to the league.

UPDATE: I've created the league. If you're keen head to http://www.fantasyleague.com, create an account, click 'Find League' (button on the right) and then enter the following PIN: 42769. I'll then accept you into the league.

Registrations will be held open until midnight on Wednesday (30th May). If we don't have at least 6 teams at that point then we might extend that to sometime on Thursday morning.

Yep I am keen, but I go on holiday on Saturday morning so it has to start quickly.

Hmm, that might not work mate as it usually takes about a week (3-4 rounds of sealed bids) to get a squad together.

I'd be up for that, sounds great. Only problem for me is because I am in China it might be difficult for me to join an online auction unless we set up a time that is reasonably early in the day for you lot in England.

Edit: read the instructions and it sounds like no problem because we just have to set the deadlines for each round so as long as it gives me at least an hour of sunlight then I am ok.

Exactly right. We set the deadlines for each round so as long as you get your bids in before the deadline then I can process them as you sleep!
