It amazes me that every time we're linked to a player, that everyone believes that we're actually in for them and it's not to generate clicks for advertising revenue or clout. It amazes me very time you hear Spurs linked to a player we don't can't won't pay the fee.
I'm no media expert just making an observation. It amazes me that every time we're linked to a player, that everyone believes that we're actually in for them and it's not to generate clicks for advertising revenue or clout.
Yeh it's tricky, but the issue for the club is:Tough one here that sort of emulates what's happening at a higher level between the board and Conte and I truly do not know what I would do in this situation
- Conte won't sign a long-term deal without assurances
- Board won't back Conte without a long-term deal
- Conte seems to want Malinovskyi as a rotation option for Kulu or a CM in midfield 3
- Player only has 6 months left on current deal and club doesn't want to pay for a player hitting the boom/bust period of prime years
- He hasn't featured much this season due to his contract situation
- If Conte goes at end of season or before, this player could easily turn into "deadwood"
I'm always back the manager to let him produce results, but definitely a tricky one - and FP must be having a headache this month already ?
Yeah, I think the fact he's going to Marseille is a signal of his level. Not bothered by this. Think we would have been struggling to sell him in a few years time. Feels like one of those signings
Was only seen as cover and short term. Good player thoGood, bullet dodged.
It was fun while it lasted.
