12 of those assist came in 20/21 Serie A season when he won the top assist playmaker award for league .

He has some left foot with great technique. Be great to have a great free kick specialist as we really lack that. From the youtube highlights he can even strike really well with his right foot. Looks like a player who could give really good options. Sounds like a no brainer

I have always felt one thing missing from our team(s) over the past few years was a maverick/genius player who just came up with a bit of magic out of nowhere. Eriksen certainly did at times but was mostly clinical, and early Dele obviously had some insane moments of brilliance. But ever since Rafa left we’ve not really had that mercurial, rogue sort of attacking player.

This guy looks like that to a tee and they’re probably my favourite sort of player. Who cares if he isn’t the most efficient passer or ball carrier. I want to watch him twat balls in from 35 yards. Yes please!

If we were taking Kulu off and rotating to a 3 man midfield then certainly. But I wouldn’t put him RWF, he doesn’t have the pace or dribbling ability for that role imo. But that could be why we are keeping Gil.

Everyone said that initially when describing Kulu initially. Training under conte and there’s now no questions about his speed. Looks very similar in profile to me

Last season (and tbf in multiple previous seasons) we’ve struggled against “lesser” teams who sit back, defend, and stop us creating.

That became a bigger problem when we lost Dembele and Eriksen, but looks to have improved slightly since signing Bentancur and Kulusevski.

Richarlison and Perisic will definitely help in that regard too, but having someone who can undo a defence like that with long shots and free kicks is definitely someone we could do with having on our bench.

Look at how many stupid points we dropped last season to the likes of Wolves, Burnley, Southampton ffs. We need players who allow us to change systems mid-game and this guy appears as if he could offer that.

In any case, I feel confident enough about Paratici and Conte’s understanding of Italian football to trust they won’t just sign any old cacker for the sake of it.
