5th, possibly 4th and semis in the EL is my guess. City and Liverpool are far ahead of us and United seem to have some form of renaissance. Leicester will probably not be able to replicate their good performance last season and tbh I’m not at all impressed by Chelsea. Unites will get 3rd, Liverpool and City will battle it out for the title, Chelsea will probably get 4th, a few points ahead of us/Wolves/Leicester.

4th gonna be hard unless one of utd or chelsea got injures.. chelsea getting wener the dutch guy and if they get kai top 4 is basically sealed for next year . always possible though i guess.

Top 8. I think we had a chance a couple of years ago to build on our squad so that It would make us competitive to challenge for the titles and at least be confident of top 4 for a good 10 years plus. Whether it’s a one or a combination of bad recruitment, the stadium move, poor form or other teams rebuilding I’m really not sure. Couple of years ago I knew what we were about, high press, high energy. The last season and half I’ve no idea what kind of performance we’re gonna have game by game. I’m a little lost at exactly what Mourinho is trying to achieve. I hope If anything we look more entertaining. No reason if we did get our mojo back we can’t win the Europa and be competitive in the league for top 4

4th in EPL. Win Europa League or a domestic Cup. It's what Mourinho is here for and he is a serial winner after all.

I believe we have more chance of top 4 than some of you think. It's no small ask, especially with rivals likely to outspend this, but we've consistently beaten the odds in recent years.

Our post-lockdown form was 2 points per game, which is very much top 4 form. Averaged over 38 games, this would be 76 points, which would have put us in 3rd, 10 points clear of Chelsea and Man Utd. Particularly as this run included some poor performances and results, I do think it's very feasible for us to replicate this form over the course of next season.

Chelsea and Man Utd are likely to outspend us, but our squad should be far more settled next season, while there's will be less so. Also, we had so many injuries to key players compared to them that just avoiding injuries would help to close the gap. Add a couple of savvy signings to give balance to our squad (e.g. a proper CDM) and perhaps we could push for 80+ points.

I am certain we will finish in top4, as long as we are of to a good start. To finish in top4 we need 2 points per game which is our avg post-lockdown.

Key for Jose is to start well. Start of season - I dont expect home crowd. So, he has to make it count and get the results and keep a cushion. So style talk goes out of the way when home crowd start filtering in. Moaning will contain as long as results come in.

I also expect Kane to start the season well and in form with full sharpness. If a DMF is done and had a decent preseason, I fully expect 2 points per game through the season.

As for as cups - we will get into atleast 1 or 2 semis - from then its up to Jose's experience and magic

If the squad remains as is and we have a bit of luck with injuries I think we would challenge for top 4 then fizzle away and fall out to 5th or 6th. Therefore it's paramount we add quality depth to the squad and identify a few problem areas with the signing of PEH, a RB and a back up striker minimum. I think those three positions should more than solidify a top 4 push, maybe sneaking 3rd. I would like to see us challenge for Europa League later in the season by playing some squad players in the early group stages meaning we can push for the Carabao cup early in the season.

Hard to know.

If Pool don't add any quality they could find it tough next year, their form since the restart has been poor and that could easily roll into next season.

Chavs have been spending in places they don't really need, if they don't address their defense and keeper they are catchable. Even with a top 4 finish and a potential FA cup, I think the jury is still out on Frank, he got his "free hit" let's see how he reacts to real pressure.

UTD have made good signings and will probably do the same in the summer, but I'm far from convinced by OGS. This will be his 2nd full season in charge, he's got to be under pressure to get UTD to challenge?

City lost a lot of games last season, is it possible that teams are defending better against them and being more selective when attacking?

Gooners?

I don't think Leciester will be as close to the top 4 and despite everyone praising Wolves we still finished above them.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us finish anywhere between 3rd-6th. We got Jose in to win something, so minimum has to be a trophy and top 4.

I agree with your points on Chelsea but they're catchable even if they sort out their defence. They have made signings but their potential front four of Werner, Pulisic, Ziyech and Havertz isn't necesarrily better than ours of Kane, Son, Bergijwn/Moura and GLC (Throw an inform Alli for good measure too). Their signings could massively struggle to adapt individually and take time to gel as a team. Werner would instantly be their most experienced player out of that front 4 closely followed by Ziyech yet they could still struggle to adjust the the PL. I personally don't think they will struggle but I can see Chelsea having plenty of good days and bad days just as they have had the last season with inconsistent performances. Frank does have plenty of issues to sort with his defence this summer but he should be relying on the experience of Giroud and Willian to guide their youth.

I think we will run United close again depending on transfers this summer so I would like to re-evaluate that come the end of the transfer window. I do think OGS is out of his depth and next season will show. I've said time and time again to mates that he struggles when he is under pressure. When he first took the job with the idea of just being a temporary job he got the best out of the players. As soon as he got a contract he fell apart. This season United were very up and down and lockdown came at a good time for them plus the great impact that VAR and Fernandes had helped a fair bit. They finished on the same points total as the season before and after shelling out 120+mill is that progress?

I personally think Leicester will struggle with squad depth now that they're in EL spot. They did well this season as they only had to focus on the PL and were able to rest key players for a full week. Whereas, I feel if Arsenal miss out on Europa league they will benefit from being able to focus solely on PL and domestic cups whilst being able to rest their key players for a full week before games.

The top two spots again will be down to Lpool and City with the rest to fight it out for the remaining spots.

Win the league, europa cup, fa cup and league cup. I will be disappointed if we don’t win all four.

Not sure it’s necessarily realistic as we never seem to get that luck but mine is regarding injuries. I’m so tired of seeing a lot of other sides seemingly playing near enough fit first team week in week out and us always getting crises every season. It’s not even about squad rotation cos some of these other teams players play like 40 odd games a season.

I think our whole season is gonna rest of if we can keep the core fit, for once. If say this was minimum fit all season we’ve got a chance of achieving something in my opinion:

Lloris
New RB Sanchez Alderweireld xx
Hojbjerg
Lo Celso xx
xx Kane Son

I think if that core stays fit thus allowing us to have a stable and consistent lineup in defence and DM, a fully fit Kane and Son up top and a fully fit Lo Celso linking play whoever plays in remaining 3 positions (within reason) shouldn’t massively effect our performances. We need improvements to squad overall but these constant injuries we pick up just completely disrupts everything.

Top 4 is the main target and a tough one to achieve. Despite his cynical and boring approach to footy, Mourinho has the wherewithal for that much. If we're not involved in that, Mourinho should resign or be sacked.

In an ideal world, the whole league will up its game a bit to stop these processions to the title occurring. Literally hundreds of elite level professional sportsmen should be ashamed that they get rolled over for a belly tickle while one or two clubs win 10 to 15 games in a row.

Even though there's a big narrative about a cup win for us, I'd be more inclined to cut some slack there because you can always have a bad day in a cup or just lose to a killer goal or bad luck. But the narrative that "I'll take the shitty football as long as we win a cup" is a pressure of its own because presumably if we don't win a cup, the approach becomes unpalatable.
