I really do not see why Winks has to take the blame. He wasnt poor at all when he came on.

We were poor throughout the entire 2nd half and this was bound to happen, with or without Winks.

Blame Jose for making the subs, but Winks should NOT be made the scapegoat for an awful 2nd half performance
wasn't poor is not good enough

The entire backline were pretty suspect all game , I include PEH in that

Kane -10
Son 9
Tanguy 8

bergwijn was poor imo
Winks pretty useless, Dele should be on bench ahead of him
Sissoko sometimes good sometimes horrid as per usual

Lucas a trick of light, a hologram. Another poor sub

Bale a cameo to forget

Kane MOM, obviously, but one little criticism - he's so desperate for a hat trick that costs us goals. No different to Son or Dele in that respect but it's something we need to sort out if we're really going to maximize our potential. He's the only one today though who deserves MOM.

Kane, Son And Ndombele were very good.

I think Reguilòn was pretty good too and provides a really good outlet at left back.

I think PEH is one of them players that is quietly efficient in midfield too.

Bergwijn looked bright at first but then faded badly and should have done a lot better as he has the talent.

Rest a bit meh.

I hate to say it but Winks is looking more and more like a fan who has won a prize to play with the first team for a day

WOW.
Sanchez taking the brunt of the blame.
I know I am in the minority but thought he played well other than the own goal.
Thought Sissoko played well other than not attempting to challenge for the first goal
Some stupid mistakes for sure from the lads and Aurier should not be in the team, ever.
Despite not thinking it was a foul for the free kick which ultimately led to their goal, Aurier had committed a number of stupid, clumsy fouls before it

I’d be devastated if Kane today too, he scored two and set on up and then just before half time did that immense bit of defending in our box almost hurting himself.

And some of the fuckers behind him can’t even do their basic jobs properly...

MOM is obvious Harry Kane, but I worry a bit for him. One could ask "How did Tottenham replace Vertonghen?" "Well, we just slotted Kane in at CB as well as CM and CF."
To a degree it's a great effort, but also all that effort must mean that on occasion Kane is a bit misplaced and isn't where a prolific strikers is most needed. That's not criticism of him though but of the team around him really.

Højbjerg still fails to impress me, but that's entirely in accordance with my expectations when he signed.

It was good to see Bale back, I knew the day would come. But he looked the slightest nervous actually.

It was not Aurier's fucking fault.

We were fantastic in that first half.

Second half we were too passive and invited them on. I get we want to hit them on the counter but we barely touched the ball in that opening ten minutes of the second half.

Was really quite bizarre. What we needed was to control the game and make them chase the ball more. It was too easy for them to press us and then they overloaded the flanks.

I mean to draw at home being 3 nil up with 82 minutes on the clock takes some doing.

The minute Sanchez stuck it in I knew what was coming. We have to be tougher than that if we want to win things.

It was so gutting to throw it away and West Ham didn't deserve that imo. They didn't produce lots of quality chances, but they worked hard.

We threw that away big time.

Lots to be excited about but defensively we need to improve if we want to be taken seriously.

Personally I think Toby and maybe even Sanchez had a bery good game for 80 minutes. Its a bit harsh on them.

We were so sloppy in our attacking and counter play for 60 minutes. Heads were gone and we were pissing ourselves after the 1-3 , a brain fart by Sissoko.

Motm Kane, very good
Good: Son, Tanguy, Hojbjerg, Sergio
Solid: Toby, Lloris, Sanchez for 80, then way too shaky, Serge
Not good: Sissoko, Bergwijn, Bale, Winks
Pointless sub: Lucas

Lamela should be on the bench and be an option. He always gives fight, positivity and energy.

We lost it because of our mentality

i dont understand what mourhino was thinking subbing out ndombele for winks. West ham have a physical midfield and we replace one of our most physically present player for f*cking winks

Who else do we have?!

Low and behold we drop 1 points and once again it’s scapegoat Winks fault!!!! Not the fault of Sissoko and Aurier forgiving away totally unnecessary free kicks near the area. Not the fault of Sanchez for a bad headed own goal? Not the fault of Bale for not scoring when through. Not the fault of the forwards for taking their foot off the gas in the 2nd half and not scoring more. No the only reason we gave up a 3 goal lead was because Winks was on the field when WHU scored their goals. This is just tiresome the way every time we have a bad result people blame the scapegoat of the moment. It’s a team game. We win as a team and lose as a team. It’s rarely because of just one individual. You all need to grow up and stop reacting like school kids.

Agree. This was the main thing that cost us the game IMO. People having a go at Sanchez but at the end of the day own goals happen.

Still though I think a lot of the players were resting on their laurels given the scoreline.

Exactly this.

I genuinely don’t know what match some of you were watching. I think the heat of the end of the game has clouded some thinking because Sanchez, save for a dodgy pass at the beginning of the match, looked very comfortable with what Antonio, Bowen had to throw at him. Toby too.

You cannot blame him for the OG. He was left exposed by some poor defending from Lucas/Reggie and if he hadn’t tried something, it goes through to Bowen anyway.

Certainly can’t blame him for the other goals and I don’t remember him conceding any massively stupid fouls like Aurier and Sissoko. A bit of perspective, please.

Kane being on a hattrick switches off his brilliant passing game - I would have liked to see him rested at half time and give Vinny a run out. I thought Sanchez was awful throughout, right from the start he was panicky and giving the ball away constantly, was muscled off the ball too easily, the less said about the own goal the better. Harry Kane was partly to blame for the equaliser - nodding the ball towards Lucas to try to start a counter and giving it straight to them when he could have headed it firmly out for a throw or even a corner.
