For your post match assessments and ratings
Our whole ethos under Ange has been built on defenders in possession knowing the options for passes will open up.A lot of average performances out there, and worrying lack of composure on the ball.
Positives were Madison and Sarr looking close to their best, and Biss tidy when he came in. Timo looking a solid left attacker also.
The rest off their best by some distance.
Both Porro and Udogie have been struggling lately. Porro goes under the radar, as his mistakes have been less catastrophic. But he has been turning the ball over a lot recently. Feel like he could use a game off. If for no other reason, to also keep Royal sharp. Our whole ethos under Ange has been built on defenders in possession knowing the options for passes will open up.
At the moment that's just not happening.
Porro and Udogie aren't finding the same space/positions and the CM's aren't moving/showing enough for the ball.
It'll (hopefully) come good again when everyone's up to speed but it's leading to a lot of risks being taken at the back while they wait for options that aren't forthcoming...
Bentancur, Maddison and to a lesser extent Sarr are still off the pace. But they all grew into the game. (Bentancur has his best moments shortly before being subbed)
Motm for me a toss up between Mickey, Udogie, Sarr and Son.
My MoTM is between Mickey
