You are saying they are both just as despicable as each other?! Seriously? Bewildered by the attitude of some on this thread towards belittling racism. Sad days indeed. If proven their was racist abuse towards Rudiger that is despicable, but his reaction in feigning injury to get Son sent off was despicable also.

I find it amazing that people here are shocked we have racist supporters when only a few years ago whole stands were singing the racist Adebayor song.
Come on, it's the same at every club. There are racist knuckleheads at football matches because there are racist knuckleheads in society. And recent events in politics have only served to empower them.
Its no coincidence that the EDL movement and Tommy Robinsons rise was off the back off football "firms" supporting him and the causeI may live in a bit of a bubble but in my day to day life I encounter way more kuckleheads at football matches than I do elsewhere.
Anyone heard it? I have to admit it but I’ve heard abuse against Irish, which I am, well Northern Irish, anyone there tonight? Actually ashamed tonight, why do we lose our heads against these arseholes, time after time?
I guess if you know the guy and it’s plausible yes, but for the vast majority they would see it as racist for the blatant obvious reasons- really ridiculously poor judgement to throw something on the pitch, couldn’t have been a worse object though. Can we not see it as he threw an object that was the only thing by his feet at the nearest player who happened to be black in a moronic fit of rage in a heated NLD.......again i repeat , banned deserved for an unacceptable act, but not racist.
Yes, but racist football fans don't come out of nowhere.I may live in a bit of a bubble but in my day to day life I encounter way more kuckleheads at football matches than I do elsewhere.

I think people are more frustrated that the possible actions of one or two people in a huge crowd have been transformed into "Spurs fans racist chanting marrs match and casts dark shadow on football" by the media, as if it was a repeat of that England game a couple of months ago.
No one seems to know what actually happened at the moment, and yet we're being hung, drawn and quartered by the press and public.
As far as I can tell, Spurs did everything they could to deal with any situation that might have occurred, are looking into what happened and will punish anyone found responsible - but we've already been found guilty...
I will say, I think it would have been a nice if there had been a chant amongst the fans in general either in support of Rudiger or in condemenation of the "fans" at fault. I think that's the kind of thing that can go a long way in presenting the incident today in a more positive light...by that I mean right now you see nothing but negative headlines, if there had been something like the aforementioned it could have flipped the situation on it's head to some extent and even have been seen as a positive scenario and powerful moment in the fight against racism.
Nope nothing. Was this ever confirmed or are we going off what Rudiger thought he heard?

I don't think there's any recorded evidence, but some who were in that section said that they heard something. There was stuff thrown on the pitch as well. Was this ever confirmed or are we going off what Rudiger thought he heard?
You'd imagine with the fans mobile phones that they seem to have out at any given second then something would've surfaced by now.Nothing confirmed yet, which I do find a little bit strange considering the amount of cameras and microphones at the stadium.
