I wouldn’t go that far, but they definitely had a poor transfer window considering the funds at their disposal. Why on Earth they didn’t sign a top centre half is baffling with the likes of De Light, Alderweireld, Maguire etc all available. But they signed another wing back even though they spent nearly 100 million on two of those a couple of seasons ago.

Given the resources at his disposal, the kind of season City had last year should basically be the base line.
I mean this was probably Pep’s last season anyway. Mayyyyybe next year.

That’s the guy, definitely looks suspect
Yeah he does, when I saw it in real time I just thought it was how his body had moved from bring animated but it looks like he makes mouth movements too that suggest he was mimicking a monkey.

I can't believe this shit is still happening.

1. Because it's disgusting.
2. Because you'd think these idiots would think not to do it when theres cameras everywhere

I think it was something to do with them having too many foreign players so they didn’t sign a centre back. Just sounds like bad transfer planning. Sounds like something we’d do actually!

Would have been easy enough for them to shift out someone like Otamendi, or just not buy Rodri and keep Delph etc. Like you say, bad planning.

Watching the Manchester derby on MOTD, and it is amazing how reminiscent of Fergie's great teams United are today. Central defence of the Bruce-Vidic school; McTominay always reminds me of Fletcher in the middle; youthful energy on the wings like Giggs and Sharpe; and the interplay up front - Rashford, Martial, Lingard - has echoes of Yorke, Cole, Sheringham etc. So, so striking to me.

I'll think of this comparison next time they play a team outside the top 6.

When Utd counter attacked they were quick but also controlled. When we do that away from home we stumble, have no control and shit ourselves. Hopefully we can improve in that area

Is it being unkind to suggest which ever Manager/Head Coach loosesMonday night will be out of a job ?

Sorry, I didn't mean to compare the teams that literally - it was more a comment about shape, set-up & approach. What I really meant is that you can see Fergie's influence on OGS's thinking.

The big difference being the current manager and players are not as good and the league is different too. As such it's Europa and 'Cup finals' against City for them these days.

The ****s ?

Grealish has really stepped up this season. He's worth £50m now.

Horrible defending. Keeper slipped. But that ones on Dean Smith and Villa’s physios. How in the world do you leave Mings on? Embarrassing display.

Edit: And now he’s off. Good job, Villa! Idiots.
