Like to see Gilberto or Gunter get a run out in this one but the rest staying pretty much the same. I'm not big into resting players as I think you need to keep players in form and on top of their game. We need the league points badly and a good morale boost would do no harm ahead of the UEFA Cup game.

Cerny
Hutton Chimbonda Kaboul Gunter
Lennon Jenas Tainio Malbranque
Berbatov Keane

Robinson, Hudd, O'Hara Boateng,Bent

Dawson to be rested as he has 4 bookings and would miss the final. Hudd also has 4 bookings but only to be used in an emergency

Don't really know if Ramos is going to rest some of our top guns.

So I expect a 6-0 win if we play our strongest eleven, and a 3-0 win if some top players are rested.

i think the line up could be

----------Cerny
Hutton-Kaboul-Dawson-Gilberto/Gunter
Lennon-Jenas-Tainio-Steed
-------Keane--Berabtov

dont think Bent will be back, and if gilberto is fit and able to play give him a run out! would play dawson even though he is one yellow away from suspension, dont think Chimbonda and Kaboul is a wise move.

think we will win 2-0 and then start taking players off to give them a rest, Berabtov Steed and Lennon are the ones i woudl take off, unless Dawson looks like he might get booked, then save him instead of lennon or steed

Wow even Lawro thinks we will win. Satan must be cold.

Derby are mentally preparing for the Championship. There has been a small improvement with the players they have signed but I can only see a Spurs win.
Tottenham have been looking good and did well against Manchester United. The manager Juande Ramos is the type not to let the team think about the Carling Cup final and will be at them to make sure they are concentrating on this game.

Lawrenson is always pretty kind to us, to be fair.

And by the way, if any of you saw how Derby have played in their last couple of games, you're living in a dream land if you think we're going to thump them.

I reckon a draw - though as usual want to see the team sheet b4 firming up prediction

I think we should rest stacks of players tho if JR disagrees then I agree with him :)

anyway my team

Robbo; Hutton Rocha Chimbonda Kaboul Gunter; (maybe go 4-1-4-1 or 3-5-2?) Lennon KPB O'H Gilberto; Ben

I'd be seriously tempted to rest Lennon for Taraabt too -

but what do I know? only that the Chelsea final is the biggest so far this decade and I would take as few risks on suspensions/injuries as poss

I think this game will really show where we're at as a club. Its on the road against the bottom of the table team. They've been playing better recently, but so have we. We should win by 2 goals I think. Regardless, I want us to win and look convincing, whether it be winning 1-0, 2-1, or 4-0. I want to see the lads play well.

Home draws against the Brummies and City. The game before that they were thrashed at home by Huddersfield.

Jewell's done his best and they've improved, but they could hardly have got any worse. I never like to denigrate other Premiership sides, but really, if we can't beat this lot pretty convincingly there will be some cause for complaint.
