Sure, we have needs at specific positions but we also have a general need for talent, thus the rebuild. I’d snatch up a 22 year old Dutch international winger with good numbers for a reasonable fee every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Especially considering Lamela and Moura are turning 28 soon.

Always enjoy a left field signing like this!

Definitely seems a change is afoot formation wise to a 433 which I think will suit us much more.

Not expecting miracles from the lad initially but an exciting young talent and another option going forward whilst always being able to relieve the likes of Moura/Son/Lamela at times and for a decent price in todays market - what's not to like?!

I will never understand why leicester hate us so much.

Very odd isn't it. We challenged them for the title when they won it and for some reason they hated us for it, like they were entitled to it and no one was allowed to challenge them. Very odd bunch.

That prem win really did go to the Leicester fan's heads. I don't think even the most ardent Spurs hater would say Leicester were a bigger club than us, not deep down at least. A shame 'cause otherwise they'd have the hallmarks of a team I would have appreciated. As for Bergwign, we were linked with him a little while back, and he seems to have kicked on since. Would be an outstanding deal for that price and could be the piece of the puzzle Poch spent many windows looking for.

Mane and Salah when signed were not
Deemed strikers/forwards, instead were categorised as ‘wingers’.

However, their arrival meant that Liverpool could play 433 effectively. Pace either side of a centralised forward.

with this lad we would have

Son Kane Bergwijn

aka: PACE

I’m very happy if we get this lad. Just need a player to share the Kane role.

Going by the commentary at least his name is easy to pronounce ‘Bear-wine’ lol
