Him as a full back in Age’s system could be interesting considering how advanced Porro gets at RB.

He scored a header v Stoke at Wembley
Got one in a 1-0 against Burnley too a few years ago. I remember it being an awful, awful game. More excitement in 5 minutes under Ange than a lot of entire matches between 2019 and this Summer.

He done an interview suggesting it, so they must have at least been talking about it.
I took it as more of a statement like “I’ll play anywhere the gaffer tells me to play, I trust his plan” than actually about a tactic they’d talked about.

I keep coming back to how incredible his appointment as captain was. If Kane had stayed, surely the armband goes to him. But he has none of the presence or embrace of the club that Son has shown since being appointed. Watching Son point to the crest celebrating in front of their fans after the his goal and then passionately call for more support from ours after his second is just incredible leadership that has been lacking in recent years, and as it turns out I believe we’re so much better for having him in that role.

Nice analysis of Son showing that he’s actually having a great season so far.

I just watched this and thought about the crap that was on this site about Son last season.

One of the biggest impacts on his numbers last season, apart from the injury, was lack of options and having to pick the ball up at LWB position.

Absolutely loving Son as captain. Been my favorite player for years.

Away from the goals physically he looks completely different this season. I think the injury last season was affecting him massively. He showed that acceleration yesterday, and if he can maintain that I don’t think we’ll need a first choice striker for at least two years. Maybe more. I think stylistically he is showing he is perfect for an Ange number 9.
Yeah I think he’s shown it a few times. There was a moment he absolutely blitzed varane for pace in the United game and looked like son of old
