Looks completely punch drunk. He’s trying far too hard, just get the ball and pass it. Why’s he constantly trying to recreate that Burnley goal? It got to the point where I just felt sorry for him, he looks like some old boxer who’s getting battered but won’t stay down. The drop off in his ability over the summer is one of the biggest I’ve witnessed in a footballer.

It's getting embarrassing now, he has turned into a complete spare part and is consistently hurting the team. I'm glad he's been dropped the last 2 pl games and that needs to continue. I wouldn't be so annoyed about it save for the fact he keeps popping up on my Instagram feed looking like a complete bellend wearing some Burberry nonsense

Really poor tonight. When he is bad, it is like playing with ten men. He can't do anything else except consistently lose the ball.

why has he looked shit with sessegnon down that line as well then?
Well he really hasn't and his numbers with Sess playing are much better.
From the 12 goal contributions from him this season, only 2 - against Crystal Palace and Fulham came when Perisic was playing as a wingback when they already have ~1600 minutes played.
The perfect example of this was against West Ham, he was good and scored a goal but then when Perisic came on he started to play like central midfielder or something and didn't have a touch in final third.

It's like playing with 10 men when he is on the pitch, not only is he not scoring, he consistently coughs up possession, often in dangerous areas and his defensive work is sadly lacking too. Has to be dropped again and used as impact sub, we have tried playing him into form since Sept but it has failed.
Sad to see , as we need him to rediscover his mojo asap.

He offers absolutely nothing when he's not scoring. One of the worst first touches I've seen for a professional footballer too.

Definitely think if we receive a big offer in the summer it's worth considering. Not like we'd invest it well anyway.

Needs to be sold while we can still get something for him. Don’t want another Ali where we end up giving him away
Never thought I’d agree with this as it’s going to cost me a fortune to redecorate my lads bedroom but unfortunately going on what we’ve witnessed this season I think I’d have to agree.
Unless something ‘totally unexpected’ happens at the end of the season like a new manager who might get the best out of him.
My biggest concern though is that he has lost that extra yard of pace, you could see it when he was 1v1 by the byline in the second half and got knocked off the ball so easily.
Without that pace in this current formation I just don’t see how he fits in any more.

Will Sonny be the first footballer in history to never win a 50/50 in his entire career? I jest but they are a rarity.

I don’t get why we sign Danjuma, who was in shit hot form, yet still persist in playing Son that side even though he has been shit for 90% of the season?

I think Sonny benefits from having a physical type alongside him or someone who hugs the touchline. Either way they take defenders out of the game.

Perisic doesn't have either of those qualities and prefers to come inside which then means Son needs to either go wide where he isn't as effective or drop deeper where he can't receive and turn.

Hate to say it as he’s been an absolute legend for us but at his age and this remarkable drop off we should sell while we can get a decent fee for him due to his past exploits.
